I don't know what Donaire/Gamboa are planning with regards to moving up/down in weight, but should it pan out naturally that Donaire goes up and Gamboa remains at his current weight, would this fight be better then Pac vs Floyd?

I know it wouldn't generate the same kind of revenue, but by the time Pac vs Floyd happens (if it ever does), they'll be further past their primes then they already are (at least, Floyd probably will).

This isn't intended as an indirect bash on Floyd at all, just don't think we'll ever see him perform better than we did against Ndou/Gatti/Corrales.

    Any opinions on this?

I think Gamboa is too big and powerful for Doniare. I'd have a lot of respect for Nonito if he stepped up in weight and took that fight though.

I think Gamboa rapes Donaire, personally.

I think this fight would be great, but cross referencing with Pacquiao and Mayweather instantly makes you bait for the fighter fans not boxing fans. Donaire vs Gamboa imo even if Donaire fought at 118 and Gamboa came in at 126 itd be a quick night for the flash.

If Gamboa didn't have a big size advantage I'd pick Donaire to shatter his abysmal Glass Jaw. He has no Chin. None.

Donaire would probably be favoured over anyone from 118-122 but runs into a brick wall against Gamboa.

I'd like to see Donaire take on Rafa/Nishioka, Rigo and then a good fighter at Featherweight. In the meantime, Top Rank starts putting some ****ing effort in and get Yuri - Gonzalez, John and another top guy. They both come through unscathed and you have a hardcore fans wet dream.

It wouldn't break ppv records or anything but it would be as good as any fight in the sport.

as much as i love gamboa, and i do.

i would rather see rigondeaux fight donaire though.

don't get me wrong, i think gamboa blasts donaire, but i just keep seeing images in my head of him getting knocked down in his fights, regardless of whether of not he was truly hurt.

Gamboa is too big for Donaire at this moment. Dude started his career at 130, he's a big featherweight and Donaire only had two fights at 118.

I'm going for the underdog here. Gamboa still has some work to do and I see Donaire exposing them
