    Prob the most true statement an intelligent boxing fan could make.

    Most kids around here love to bust on Golota. All they've heard about is the low blows or walking out of the Tyson fight. The fact remains that this guy had crazy skills for a 6'-4", 240lb fighter. Combine his talent with Adameks resolve & you have an ATG HW Champion.

    And thats not a bisased opinion.

    I was dreaming for over 10 years waiting for Golota to pull through. And what happens in the Byrd fight??? That ****in lady judge Melvina Latham gives Bryd the last round, which was undoubtedly Golota's best round in the fight!

    Because that one judge did what she did, caused the fight to be ruled a draw.

    Golota was blatantly robbed that night. He should have taken Bryd's HW Title.

    Not to mention how many times did Byrd touch the canvas with his gloves from the punishment Golota delievered to the body, which were not ruled knock downs???

    Horrible night for Golota fans...

    Well clearly Szpilka is very different stylistically & sizewise from Golota, but i'm hoping he turns out to be a brave warrior (like Adamek) & H2H beast (like Golota minus the unstable headcase mentality), then he'll be a exciting Champ one day. :good

    I really wish Golota brought the fearless warrior mentality he had in his brutal slugfest war with Corey Sanders in '98, to more of his fights, especially the important ones. No doubt in my mind, Andrew had ATG boxing & brawling skills, he just needed some serious help with his fighting mentality when on the big stage.

    It happens to ppl in sports. They reach a certain level, say "hey, look where the hell I am" & then reality sets in & they crumble.

    Once Golota showed the world he could make it look ez giving Bowe a boxing lesson, he just couldn't live up to expectation after that.

    Really sad when you think about it. Sometimes Golota must really want to kick himself in the DUPA (ass).
