Alvarez was not the champion, the title was vacant. Might give him some? WTF... I thought the entire idea was to get Trouts title, now its to go after Cotto? lol

Trouts team responds: Team Trout: What is Anthony Mundine Talking About?*He Backed Out on Us and*We Can Prove it!!! The problem with former world champion Anthony Mundines claims that he is*being ducked by WBA Light Middleweight champion Austin No Doubt Trout is*that when Mundines people backed out of the fight, they did it in writing. Trout (23-0, 13 KOs) and his promoter, Greg Cohen of Greg Cohen Promotions,*say they are aggravated and disgusted by Mundines fraudulent claims that it*was them who backed out of a proposed fight. Mundine recently announced a deal to face Rigoberto Alvarez on September 21*for the WBA interim championship. I dont mind he ducked me to fight somebody else, but dont go to the press*and say its the other way around. At least lets be honest if you dont*want to fight me, said a still incredulous Trout. Fight me or admit its*you who doesnt want to fight. Stop pretending. Ill fight you any time. Wed be happy to furnish the emails from his manager/promoter, adds Cohen.*We came to an agreement and I said are we in agreement on this, this, this*and this? He said all good. I sent the contract and didnt hear from him*until I got another email saying the new WBA rankings just came out and*Anthony has moved from #3 to #1, so were backing out of the deal. In the*deal we came up with, I was only getting one option on Mundine, but they*didnt*want to give us any options. Now that their guy is the mandatory,*they dont have to give us options. So, they made a business decision and*backed out how Anthony Mundine then comes up with these outlandish stories*about us changing contracts and hiding from him and all this other stuff is*beyond me. Trout, who successfully defended his title against Sonora, Mexicos David The Destroyer Lopez (40-13, 23 KOs) on June 11 at the Auditorio Miguel*Barragan in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, has been actively looking for a worthy*foe for his elective title defense and says its crazy to suggest hes*avoiding anyone. Ill still fight him as a mandatory. I dont care. Ill fight him any time.*If he wants to duck me, thats up to him, but dont blame it on me and try*to tarnish my reputation. Im not avoiding anyone. Im right here saying lets*get it on! I will fight anyone, anywhere, call my promoter to make your offer!
Based on history alone its hard not to agree with Trout. Mundine's career in recent years is littered with almost hundreds of false claims.
Mundine is the one with a long history of ducking and diving, so cohens version is probably more believable. The 1 fight option part is still lame though. Its not needed and mundine has a right to gripe about it. Whether that is the real issue here because it was an adendum to the original negotiation??? Maybe. I guess we'l see what happens IF mundine does become trouts mandatory.
who would you believe? an arabic snake oil salesman with a history of backing out of fights? or a manager/promoter with documented evidence?
how the hell is it the same as Golovkin? I can't see the issue. There is a big difference if you are manditory, for a start it takes out stupid options. Trout tried to screw Mundine and Mundine checkmated him by becoming manditory. Just all part of boxing.
****ing hell , Choc REALLY is the pioneer the blokes Ducked fighters in THREE decending weight divisions now ,i for one can't recall anyone ever doing that or even getting close to it , congratulations are in order ...:happy:happy:happy:happy
