    Prove you post wrong? When you say that the fighting environment had no effect on the grappling in either fights? I think you do a sufficient job of that yourself, even better than your chinchecking if I may say.

    The majority of the grappling in the Melendez/Aoki ass whoopi...er...fight was when Aoki failed on guard pulls in the middle of the cage and Gil dove in punching him in the face. He would have had his Glass Jaw shattered multiple times in that fight had the ref not broken the fight up and restarted it every time Gil dove in smashing him. The only thing that altered the outcome of that fight was poor officiating or your Fragile Mandibled hero would have awakened to a penlight and a sobbing fit again.

    The cage also didn't impact Rua/Griffin. Rua was actually doing better in the takedown and control department until he gassed midway through the second. It was evenly contested until that point and that was WITH Rua looking as lethargic as decrepit Coleman. Conditioning and MacGyvered knees, not the cage.

    Which fight were you watching? The fighters were restood whenever Melendez got in Aoki's guard.

    No doubt Rua was gassed, but where was the fight stopped?
