Tyson fury...................a fake or the real deal!

You lot are all aware that Euro level is World level now in the Heavyweight division I take it?

 

Lack of power is the main issue, i do wonder if thats partially down to conditioning though, he has pipe cleaner arms and no shoulders, If he built a powerful upper body and learned proper punching technique, at 6'9" and 250lbs surely he'd do some damage.

 

Fury is a pup at heavyweight and far from the finished article.

I reckon he will reach euro level but if he gets a proper trainer full time could go further.

He could really do with getting out to America.

Wlad, Vitali, Adamek and Haye aren't fighting over the EBU title.

 

You say that but 2 of those you mentioned have fought the European champion in the last year or so.

 

That's euro level fighters trying to step up to the world stage.

The Klitschkos, Adamek and Haye aren't who people are talking about when they say 'euro level'.

'Euro level' is people who don't advance beyond the EBU title.

 

Fury could be good he is only 23. People say he hasnt improved but he has, he went 12 rounds quite well. I think his power isnt great but he is aggressive and quite fast for a big guy. I can see him picking up a world title at some point, when Klitschko era is over.

 

They are world class Europeans. Not Euro class Europeans. Fury, IMHO, will not progress to be a world class European.

 

May never be 'World class' but I could see him grabbing a World title belt and defending it a few times like Valuev did.

 

Anyone could grab a belt due to how boxing's run. It doesn't necessarily make him world class just because of that though.

I think Fury is better than he looks. He is a big awkward lump who had terrible footwork and punching technique but I can see some signs of improvement in his last few fights although it all goes to pot when he gets tired after 4 or 5 rounds.

The big plus for Fury is he has a good chin and he is a very game fighter. Given his poor conditioning he still fights every round till the end which is a good sign.

He will be a hard man to beat for any fighter except the Klitschko's.

euro level? he's already past that!.... i think your either underestimating fury, or more likely over estimating euro level. audley harrison was european champion not too long ago. also guys like skelton, willams, and sprott have all been dominant at european level. fury beat chisora who beat sexton. sexton beat rogan who beat skelton and harrison. convoluted logic i know, but it shows the levels above european standard tyson fury is already. remember he's only 22 with a very limited amount of professional training and top class sparring.

also when he has guys like manny steward and robert helenius rating him highly it would suggest he at least has potential!
