Whether or not Bute would make more $$$ is besides the point. The FACT is it wouldv'e been a career high payday for Kessler, who simply didn't feel like losing his title shot vs Stiglitz.

He'll make about 1/2 in the Stiglitz fight, but has a much better chance of leaving with a belt. With that belt, he could demand a 50/50 split, probably close to 5 mil vs the winner of the S6, who will certainly be looking for other fights than BOOTAY!

if kessler had the title...& kessler was bringing in the guaranteed money...

yeah...i don't see why bute wouldn't take a 60/40 split that would earn him 3.5m.

    but that didn't happen.

if bute turned down 3.5m & 40% of a 60/40 split to take another fight where he earned a little over a mil & was taking home 30% of a 70/30 split...i'd say he ducked kessler too.

The anonymus source who gave the numbers ( there are still to be confirmed by Interbox) was also saying Showtime would give an amount to Kessler. We don't know how much. Anyway, if someone could find the number of PPV sold in Denmark when Kessler fought Ward, that would give us a more accurate idea of the offer. It is fair to think he wiuld have received more than what he'll get to fight Stieglitz but by how much?

Interbox said in an interview today that they made a second offer when Pavlik dropped out of the Bute fight. Sauerland refused it. The Stieglitz fight was probably set up then.

I'm not sure Kessler got the right numbers from Sauerland. After all, at least 1 million$ (if Showtime wanted to give 250k, which may be more) is not like a couple of krones. I'd like Interbox to give us some numbers.

    They should split everything 50/50.

i love how the challengers think money is everything , its a pride thing...where as back in the day fighters would kill for a chance at a title...took hagler 7 years of beating everyone and avoided before they gave him a shot...you think he bitched about the money?

    Yeah here it is:

Kessler just stated that he will bet for Johnson against Bute.

He also said that the Interbox offer to fight him was "as if we would have offer Bute 1 Danish Kroner. I would like to fight Bute but the money need to be good".

    Heres the link in french:
    http://www.rds.ca/boxe/chroniques/324851.html

Is it me or he never said that is team offered to Bute something after all?

show you how worthless a title is now, when they can just try and get an offer thats better from another one of the many belt holders... kinda like buying a house or call...

Jean Bédard (Interbox) SAId that Saeuland never did an offer back to Bute...never

Saeuland has not return any phone calls.

Bedard said also and this is interesting that in the last 5 years, Bute has received 1 written offer.....ONE

He said that it's always them doing offers to other fighters

I just don't get, Bedard said, he had only one offer in 5 years for Bute. He has always to make the first move to get an opponent, Kessler never counter offer his offer, Bedard said that he even made an other offer before the Kessler/Steiglitz was signed several days ago despite the no anwser.

If Bute is so bad, if he's so over rated, if he's so hyped, why don't you come here get easy money and knock the MOFO out? Or maybe at least, call him to make an offer to retain all the glory? Because I say getting millions to kill a hyped fighter, wouldn't be the dream of every one?

I have been critizing alot Bute in the last year but his opponents are getting ridiculous.

Then why the **** didn't he offer Bute 3 Mil for a fight in Damnark . I mean Bute biggest purse is 1.2 Mil $. Do you ever think Bute would've refused such a pay day?! NO!! FFS He gave Stieglitz that kind of money. And btw Kessler pay would've been bigger against Bute than 1.4 Mil $ he gets against Stieglitz.
I don't really know what he is trying to say by "brake him down" I can tell you now : There is almost no chance at all of Johnson Ko'ing Bute. A UD , maybe better chances, who knows... but a KO in my mind is out of the question.
And I know from good sources close to Bute that obviously can't reveal because it will be bad for him. He said to me: I can't give you numbers but I can tell you the(full) offer is bigger than 2M $.(Heard this when he was in Romania)
Kessler is being a **** here. 2 Mil $ is not "One Danish Krone".

    ***

    Absolutely.

I was surprise by this fact yesterday.

Bedard was very honest in this because he said even that this offer was from England (Froch) and Bute wanted to finish the andrade issue (Bute-Andrade 2)

So it's true that bute refused 2 years ago to fight Froch to get his revenge on Andrade.

    But......

    the rest is true also.

Stephan Larouche (Bute trainer) has said so many times in the past few weeks that they NEVER heard back from the team Kessler

    THIS IS THE TRUTH FOLKS

Stop talking to me about that. What about Devon Alexander (2x), Sturm against De La Hoya and the list goes on. Robberies happen in the US too, stop being blind. As far as I know, B-Hop wons his championship belt by UD in Montreal.

Kessler suck, Ward exposed him so bad, Bute will destroy him with thunderous body shots
