Floyd fights exactly like Roy when not in his shell defense!

    Lead Hook
    Jones- [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isD9TFEGThc[/ame]

    Mayweather- [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oSA6eoAkRQM[/ame]

He stole Roy's Style- "Punch Deceptiveness" And punch mechanics. Meaning he punches from his elblows Instead of his core. So u can't really tell what punch he's going to throw! This is why the lead hook works! They set it up with the jab to the body (Yes Floyd stole that Too) And their so fast that once their opponents hands start to come down to defend the body they land at will upstairs cause dudes cant tell what their gonna throw! That's Why Floyd dominates after 4 Rounds every time!

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=axogphpGcYU[/ame]

    Jones-http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zHFXJ5kz0yY

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZYvkhdQRYL0[/ame]

As u can see griffin thought he was going to the body!

    Mayweather- [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sdvdFYVmjgM[/ame]

And poor ricky thought he was going to the body too And just didn't know what to do ! Lol

    Floyd copied his persona too!

    Jones- [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ye87owFNrCI[/ame]

    Mayweather- [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2JAh-4n4Vo[/ame]

Difference is Roy has power but floyd has the fundamentals! Which is why he will be fighting the rest of his career the way he fought in the Moseley fight! not because his legs are gone , But because their not what they use to be! And as we saw with jones that's all it takes to get knocked the **** out!

I could/should go on but i dont feel like it

Roy in his prime might be unbeatable

They have similar qualities like Athltisim, speed and reflexes. Their styles are very different and Jones in his prime was far more offensive than Floyd has ever been. being able to lead off with the straight or left is accredited to having an abundance of speed which both Roy and Floyd have. Floyd is also a much more solid technical fighter than roy which is why Floyd's longevity will surpass Roy's if he decides to fight on.

I've noticed this too. Floyd copies quite a bit of Roy. Not just the lead hook, but the lead right also. Even that "pull counter" ****, Roy was doing all the time. Check hook, ditto.

Floyd would be better off if he followed the grand master of boxing Bhop aka #1 P4P American Fighter from the last 20 years.

Roy simply stuck around too long, and began to fight scared which is why he isn't top notch anymore. If Floyds sticks around into his late 30s he will also lose. It takes a special fighter and the right opposition for a fighter to win at an advanced age.

Alot of Floyds success can actually be attributed to his great athletic talent, yes he has great fundamentals but his speed has been very important, I hope he doesn't fight on much longer.

Just because he uses some similar techniques it doesnt mean he "copied" him.

Are you saying Roy invented these moves?

A lot of Roy's moves I'm sure he borrowed from fighters he emulated as well. Every fighter does it.

Not the moves , Just the way and style he uses them in!

P.s. Roy was faster at middle and light heavy then floyd is at welterweight! think about that! Smh

Roy jones also invented straight punches and the uppercut

obviously floyd stole them off him

So what if he uses techniques/styles off other fighters, your suppose to get inspiration from other fighters.
