    this is just embarrassing trying to explain who is a champion today at a wieght division

    the division wasnt
    even aroun until late 1987, set up between middleweight and light heavyweight

    it was one thing when there were so many jokes about the 3 titles per division, then the WBO stuck around for so long that eventually its so long its somewhat accepted as a 4th title

    now, and i think the WBA is the only one that has
    up to 3 champions per weight class

    so for anyone to ever say, that a fighter needs to go get a belt as an excuse to have more bargaining power to fight another belt holder, its all smoke and mirrors

    how much nargaining power would brian Magee have with a rematch vs Bute now? more than kessler who has no belt? its sad what boxing has reduced itself too

    the wbc is doing this bull**** as well, it basically to make more money but it hurts boxing a lot in the long run.
    At this point the ibf and wbo are the best ironically.

    I don't count the WBA as a title anymore and to be honest, I don't really count the IBF either considering the **** they've pulled recently.

    WBO might be the youngest of the four but at least they don't have 15 champions per weight class and at least they don't strip their fighters solely cause they've unified. WBO champions also tend to be "the champion" of the division too.

    looks like the WBA have all the real champs out there Ward,Magee and incoming Balzsay.who's that bute you are talking about,isn't that the guy you trash everytime you can?so why care.....we have all the real champs at WBA

    Until Bute fights the winner of the Super Six, there isn't a true champion in the division.

    I feel he needs to beat johnson and kessler/stieglitz winner first to have a legit status since his resume lacks names

    Names or not he's still obviously good ... we're not ranking his ATG status, but whether he'd be a good opponent or not -- and that he would be.

    Who the winner will fight then ? if Ward win i don't want to see a Ward-Kessler 2 , if Froch win Froch-Kessler 2 could be good but then ?

    and if froch wins the super 6 bute will meet him in 2-3 years from now and all the idiots will say bute ducked froch and waited for him to grow old...**** that,bute needs to fight the winner of s6 NOW.
