the problem is even if he won clearly against Diaconnu, he didnt impress me, he didnt seems to have change or improve. So I think Hopkins will again shock the world and win this fight.

I'm a bit curious as to how we've established that Dawson is weak mentally? Based on Pascal fight...or where is this coming from?

With me, its coming from previous fights that I've saw him momentarily switch off in (Tarver), or fights where he's fought too passively, lacking passion (Johnson 2). The Pascal fight ist an isolated incident either, cause Dawson looked terrible against Diaconu.

I just dont think a true Champ, would ever let their title slip away as easily as what Dawson allowed Pascal to take is, not to say he cant beat Hopkins, or wont, he might, but these are valid criticisms in my mind, although that's just me.

Dawson was fighting tall and behind his right jab against Johnson, unleashing sharp combos to the body and finishing up to the head, he was moving well in circles but somehow... And early in the fight, he threw five or six unanswered punches that were either blocked or absorbed by Glen and he takes a one overhand right to end round three. He went in there just to sustain, doesn't think, doesn't move, doesn't dodge punches... And in round ten, he had some 30s to survive a right hand that came from underneath his right shoulder. Dawson gets disorganized and against Hopkins, he can't just fight his heart out. The man gat to be under control when he's hurt.

Yeah. Dawson also has a lot of technical weaknesses too, despite people thinking he's the second-coming.

By the way, Pascal had the belt when they fought.

    Dumb ****s.

I guess you guys didn't see Dawson turning up the heat on Pascal until the headbutt happened.

If there was no headbutt, Dawson would of TKO'd Pascal.

Dawson is a less talented, less awkward, lower output, potentially lower handspeed version of Calzaghe in my view. Hopkins will beat the **** out of him

    I like Dawson.

However, it's highly doubtful that he would have TKO'd Pascal.
