So you'll only be a Floyd fan if he tries to clean up the sport alone? Damn how many boxers ARE you a fan of? :think

Don't think HE ever said he's scared of needles, that came from HIS camp. He said he felt weakened by blood taken close to the fight, as well as his **** gloves and **** socks, and that's why he lost... Although the blood thing didn't come out until after he flew home to his country... Didn't say **** about blood in the post fight interview... But yeah don't think those words ever came from HIM directly.

He wouldn't be doing it alone, presuming he actually fights, since fighters usually need opponents.

Anyways, what's the problem? You give me one reason why this would be bad for the sport.

pac said a lot of shite, that it weakens him too. u ever been tattooed before? I have. u lose more blood getting a tattoo than u do from a doctor's visit. a tattoo usually takes a couple of hours if it is a decent size one like 3 to 5 inches, width to length. that whole time you r getting that tattoo u r spelling blood.

I never said it would be bad for the sport, it would be great... I was just commenting on the fact that you would be a fan of his if he did this.. Just wondering the criteria for a boxer to have you as a fan since Floyd has to change the drug testing in boxing to get you... :D

    He never said it.

I've asked numerous times on this and several other boxing boards for a legit source ever since it began getting spewed and have yet to see anything concrete from Pac.

That's not a criterion. I'm saying that he'd make a fan out of me if he did. There are other things he could do that would have a similar effect on me, but I haven't mentioned those, and I didn't say that just any boxer would make a fan out of me by doing this. Floyd is in a special position that he can actually have an impact on the sport by doing this, whereas most other fighters aren't.

Still not sure what it is to you, tho...:huh

Giving blood (at least a substantial amount) does weaken you. Why you think if you ever donate blood, which is a pint (A LOT of blood) they make you sit there for a while after your done, they got juice and cookies, etc? People aren't suppose to feel great, and energized after giving blood...Rarely do they feel the same after giving it.
I will say though that I doubt he gives an entire pint, or something, and.... A lot of it is more mental than anything. Things like blood, gloves, socks, etc do effect people really badly whenever those people let them effect them. Boxing is a more mental than anything. If a boxer doesn't feel like he didn't prepare well enough (even if he actually did), and a lot of things aren't in place for him then most of them lose focus.

Only Arum said anything about fear of needles. No one else did. And Arum said it in a way like he was guessing.

Pacquiao does have the blood loss thing weakening him on youtube after the Morales fight.

And to the dude saying you lose blood because of tattoos, as far as we know, he's never had a tattoo made the day before a fight. He did get his blood drawn a day before he fought Morales.

And sportsmen are one of the most superstitious group of people in the world. Add that to the fact that Pacquiao comes from one of the most superstitious cultures in the world. That's going to add up.

floyd was very clear and firm on his stance

his said many times the 14 day offer was a one time offer, and once he fought someone who did random testing, no more cut-off offer for anyone

pac decided to fight clottey instead

floyd went on to fight mosley, and true to his word, directly after the mosley fight, he publicly said, no cut-offs now

he has not changed his stance once....he was open, clear and firm

team pac on the other hand...well, they change daily

If May really wanted to clean up the sport, the 14 day cutoff would never have been on the table in the first place. This casts doubt on his claim that he really wants to clean up the sport.
