you get a strange ringing in your ears and suddenly everything seems very far away, your legs just aren't underneath you... they dont exist anymore. Everything seems to be in slow motion, then speeds up really quickly and you snap back to reality. Its actually quite scary because you lose control but the punches dont necessarilly stop because your still standing. I got KO'd by a left hook I didnt see coming with 12 ounce gloves.... my jaw hurt for a week

Disorienting. All of a sudden I was on my butt, and I wasn't quite sure how I got there. The right side of my jaw was hurting, so I figured out it was a left hook.

I wouldn't say I was knocked out, but I don't remember the shot that put me on my butt.

Only time that happened was when I weighed about 129-130 17-18 yrs old and I sparred with 3 heavyweights one after the other. I was exhausted as I barely stopped the 2nd HW in the 3rd round guess he had a glass jaw and remember almost going down on a bodyshot from him he hit like a truck. 3rd guy was fresh and ready to go I was sapped and just remembering laying on the ropes I ducked a hook, but he caught me with an uppercut afterwards I had very little energy. I stumbled abit, but never went down. Just remember blacking out for acouple of seconds. I was basically out on my feet. I took it well and learned to pace myself better. For me its no pain no gain and your gonna feel alot of pain on the giving and receiving end. Part of the game.

being knocked down from a punch to the body is just as bad. u lose wind, u cant breath, u fell like u r dying, or having a heart attack. it is a horrible, scary feeling and quite painful. being hit a by a good shot gives u a massive headache and your jaw hurts like shite

And as much as your conscious and want to get up, it's just impossible (depending on the shot, of course). Not only does it knock the wind out of you, but it sends a sharp stabbing pain throughout your whole body.

Both times I went down were both from left rips to the body. To my trainer's son (who was a pro), so my trainer had no problem giving me a condescending 10-count (which I failed to beat both times).

Remember Marlin Starling, after being starched with a left hook like that, insisting to the TV interviewer it didn't happen.

i got hit on the chest and stomach. both the same feeling. u cant breathe. pain is dreadful, like u r having a heart attack. also when u get hit with a good shot like on the shoulder, the pain is there for weeks, u cant hardly move it much, the pain can be unbearable sometimes

Had a similar experience boxing in the army in Texas. Was well ahead of this kid late in the third round, 'n he caught me with a straight right to the heart -- paralyzed me -- couldn't breath, could move a muscle -- frozen in a boxing stance, like a cigar store indian. A gentle breeze would've toppled me.

But either he didn't suspect or thought I was playin' possum, but, thank God, he didn't pounce 'n the bell rang.
