He's being lined up for a fight against Kessler as a first defense. Fighting Degale makes no odds in terms of plans, they have simply stated the should he lose to Degale the fights out the window and if he wins then thats upto him as Degale carries no stock at euro/world level.

It begs the question, why would the euro champ come over to uk to defend his strap in a fight he would probably get robbed in even if he was winning. Why would you risk a potential £massive payday just to fight Degale when your prosper with sweet **** all bar a £100k or summat for doing so.

Look at people saying Woodhouse shouldn't take the Gavin fight (on here and Boxrec) - even though I scored the fight to Gavin comfortably (9-3) he will have gained a lot from that fight, both experience and confidence that he can go on and win titles.
