On Klitschko-Briggs: "The referee did not stop the fight because he wanted to do harm to Vitali's knockout ratio [...]"
I suspect that's why many Klitschko fans are upset the fight wasn't stopped which they cover up with false sympathy toward Briggs.
Ridiculous theory, but post of the millennium? I don't think so, I've seen far worse **** from farmboxer.... besides that, the fight should have been stopped when Briggs was wobbled...
Nah, the Kevin Johnson fight already broke the ko-streak. Slowmos looked very bad for Briggs. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=chm8L-ms6Qk"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=chm8L-ms6Qk[/ame]
I'm not necessarily talking about a streak, but rather his career KO percentage which is what the person (Farmboxer?) responsible for the quote was referring to.
I think that announcer does a great job... at the 2:00 mark, Briggs really digs to the body! I think its crazy how when Vitali's opponents do this the only effect you can see is Vitali opening his eyes wide and taking a breath
WOW... I forgot how brutal that fight was on Briggs. he was a cool guy all fight week and very respectful after.... I will say, Shannon has heart....BIG TIME BUT....His corner should have ended it.. they are there to protect the fighter..and they didnt IMO
Well, I'm a Klitschko fan but I don't see them as 'knockout artists'. KO-% is overrated concept because tko is often far from knockout.
I would like to know why the ref didn't stop it. What was the point in letting that fight continue after the 8th or 9th. And there is no reason for letting it go past the 10th. None.
