according to Khan Team USA offered him a green card if he would fight for the States in Athens. At the time Britain were reluctant to send someone so young

I've asked loads of times, pal.

They "don't see the point in it". Greedy ****s

Then I ask Amir's dad in person, and they'll "see what they can do"

I'll ask again, but the only way to probably see it is to get a crowd to peeve Amir off on his Twitter and say he's lying about it.

He'll probably put it up then.

Did he beat him on the 20 point rule or was it a literal stoppage that is what i would like to know.

Some amatuer refs are like, a punch landed, standing 8 count. Oh, clean shot, standing 8 count. 3 punches landed, standing 8 count. Oh, I have to stop the fight according to the rules.

Most of the stoppages I got in the ams were complete BS because I could flurry to the ropes with frequency, and you hope that the ref steps in and gives them a standing 8 before they come back with a hard counter.

There's a reason the good amatuers aren't always successful pros. sometimes getting a stoppage is like a con job in the ams.

I wouldn't agree there, the gloves are only 2oz bigger and a fighter that's being dominated will get stopped much much quicker in the amateur game than in the pro's, a fighter doesn't have to be in serious trouble or hurt badly to be stopped in the amateur game - the ref will step in long before that happens

Not really, I mean the gloves for a welter in the amatuers at 10 ounce, same size as the pros now and days unless they agree on 8 ounce.
the head gear doesnt make a big difference as there is nothing protecting your chin, in fact the headgear IMO makes it harder to see based on the design.

Stoppages in the amatuers usally come long before a stoppage in the pros would their entire focus is on saftey.
