Cotto's defense and chin will fail him. Once he starts trying to dance it's over, because by that point he is fatigued, and backpeddling with an open guard.

    Ortiz late TKO.

and ortiz is sweet pea? :rofl

ortiz got hit by madonna and peterson at will, berthoe also landed a lot when he let his hands go.

    Ortiz has no defense none.

Before the Margarito fight, Cotto would always fight fire with fire.
At 147 he had a much better chin, and was at his technical peak (thus far at least). He could both outslug and outbox Ortiz. Ortiz being so talented and having a southpaw advantage would definitely help him and make it competitive, but I favor Cotto's experience on top of all of his talents and skills.

It's overstated a lot... And I believe this to be true. It's just the way the **** happened, I have no doubt in my mind after the Mayweather fight Ortiz will do big things.

Still think Cotto would have pulled out the win prime for prime at 147 though...

Awesome fight! Right now it's an awesome fight as I don't see Cotto as damaged goods, or shot like a lot of other "fans". Cotto has a deeper set of skills and more intelligent....so my guess is he'd weather the storm and break Vicious down with Miguels trade mark "body" of work.

We all know that guys who quit in fights can never be successful fighters.

Why talk defense when Cotto's is nothing to brag about? The man backpeddled with an open guard against Margarito and Pacman mid rounds on when he had had enough. Why? I don't know. Maybe he was tired? Maybe he wanted to quit? Maybe he thought he could dance like Ali, but he ran, and did it wrong. Miguel Cotto tried twice to pull a DLH and runaway from a knockout, but is brutalized in the process.

Say what you want, Cotto takes more damage in fights, and nobody would ask the question unless it's before Margarito chewed him up and spat him out.

Cotto can't fight going backwards.. And when he does, he demonstrates decent footwork and what a bloody mask looks like.

For good reason, people overrate that quit. If people criticized Duran for quitting, he would have been pissed, too.
