Yes I honestly do believe Roach picked Mosley after he saw how shot to **** he was. Same as his choice for Oscar. Dude says it out his own ****ing mouth in interviews. Did money have something to do with it, of course... But to say that Mosley looking like **** wasn't a factor, bigger than money, IMO is being blind due to it being Pac... They felt they could outdo Mayweather since Pac is offense first.

 

Would you say Floyd picked shane simply becasue he was off for 16 months? Or that Floyd chose JMM just becaue he was a LW? Or that Floyd chose Ortiz because he's highly inexpereicend and an easy win? Or do you just over scrutinize Pac's opponents?

Its a strange one with Mayweather. On the one hand the controversy and gangsta image that Mayweather likes to promote brings eyes to the sport, but when he talks the smack he does, and then fights the way he did against DLH, Baldy, people feel vindicated in walking away for other combat sports.

Doubt you've ever heard me play up any of Floyd's recent opponents. Floyd picked Shane because he came off the Margarito win and EVERYONE was praising Shane for his performance, and Floyd needed a good opponent. Did Floyd know he could beat him, I'm quite sure he did. I don't think it was the layoff that made him choose Mosley though.

He picked JMM because he was the guy everyone links to giving Pac his hardest fights. He knew he could beat JMM easily and it would be compared to Pac's fights with JMM to the general public. Also knew it was because he was the #2 P4P fighter. If JMM was a 140lb fighter at the time, I still believe Floyd would have faced him. It was NOT because he was a lightweight.

Floyd chose Ortiz because he came off a huge win against undefeated Berto and looks great to the general public. Ortiz is a southpaw and people relate that to Floyd preparing for a fight with Pac. It was NOT because he's highly inexperienced, IMO. :thumbsup

 

Also, I don't have to over scrutinize Pac's opponents... His own ****ing trainer sheds light to the situation. If Roach didn't open his mouth like a fool about why he chooses people for Pac to face when he does, Pac wouldn't be getting all the **** he does for his opponents. Some people would still be able to see the pattern, but far less would. :yep
