Big right hand on the belt line by Hatton. Abramenka throws a few whips to the body, with Hatton jerking back out of their way and only momentarily interrupting his advance. Hatton blocks all head shots. Clinch. Hatton shoves off. Abramenka waves a lazy jab. Clinch. Good right by Hatton. Another. Abramenka is driven into a corner and blasted with a pair of hard uppercuts. Abramenka runs. Hatton holds his neck and blasts him with underhand rights to the body. Abramenka keeps moving and dodging as Hatton pursues behind a jab. Abramenka is clocked with a pair of hard rights.

Round 7

Abramenka a bit wilder now. Hatton blocks his overhand rights and punishes him. Hatton out moving and out punching him.

70-63

 

Round 8

Scrappy going now. Abramenka leaning in and holding a bit. Hatton still blocking his flurries and then thundering back. Abramenka stunned a few times.

80-72

 

Round 9

Abramenka spearing with all he's got from outside, not getting anything through. Hatton hops around on his toes, waiting for Abramenka to finish and then gets cracking. Clinches. Hatton smacking him around in the exhanges and filling the gaps with his jab.

90-81

 

Round 10

Hatton chases with some hooks, and then puts on earmuffs. Abramenka not able to score so he grabs and stalls. Hatton getting the few quality shots in, clapping away with combos from well out and forcing Abramenka into a shell. Abramenka is only daring to throw while backed a few feet away and causing himself to overreach.

Round 11

Hatton encroaches inexorably but not rushing anything or with any seeming intention of stopping his man in the championship frames. Abramenka shows a bit more desperation, scuttling back to his sniper's tower position to drop chaotic windmills on Hatton but with even less accuracy now than in the earlier rounds. Hatton pretty much allowed to coast with just the jab.

Round 12

Hatton plunges his jab into Abramenka's belly from outside, but gets grabbed around the neck every time he looks to set up a volley. Abramenka walks flush onto a right hand while trying to trade with Hatton. More tying up. Abramenka very messy with his work. Big left hook by Hatton, startles Abramenka.
