Obviously not since Thomas put up a game fight through the 6th. I think you could make a case that it could have been stopped in the 1st but I disagree.

No way. Clear 10-8 but not a stoppage. Managed to stay upright, still kept throwing. Def not a stoppage. In fact he threw the odd decent jab!

No way. There was nothing to suggest he couldn't defend himself.

Shouldn't have been stopped, but plenty of other HW's at that time would not have made it through that round. Tyson's combinations were for all to see in this fight, particularly in the first & sixth rounds.

There can be no qualms about the stoppage in the 6th. Thomas was fcuked!!!

As I remember Thomas admitted to being high on crack in that fight.:think Either Thomas or Tubbs...

Probably Thomas. Tubbs only seemed drunk in his fight against Tyson.

I thought I remembered reading in Facing Tyson that Pinklon stayed straight long enough to get through the fight then went on a huge cocaine binge for about a week afterward.

no, Pinklon was going all over the place stunned, but he lasted to the 5th round I think if I remember correctly. He was an exchamp so he deserved the extra time.

Actually went to the 6th round, and he won a couple of rounds from Tyson in there too, although part of that was because Tyson was being lazy on the inside and letting Pinklon outwork him.

No, as allegedly some guy at ringside was shouting "6th round, Mike!"
