just thinking about, ive never seen a guy with so little boxing ability accomplish so much

if it wasnt for his rediculous power, i dont see any trait in him that made him so great

although he had great heart, which he showed against moore despite being outclassed and his destruction of frazier, nothing was really great about this man and he lacked basic skills

ali probably could have ko'd him anywhere past round 5 when george was getting hit with everything ali threw

not hating, not trolling, but george really did lack skill at the top level

You're way off. Foreman was not just some lumbering goon. He had a great jab and if you go back and find some of his early amateur fights, he clearly had the fundamentals.

Ali ducked Foreman after his lucky win.

As for ATG's all of them had great skill.

Post your ATG list, I need a good laugh.

    Olympic Gold Medalist :thumbsup
This is a bad thread. The starter would have been better off asking about his skill, not assuming he had none.

Foreman wasnt the most skilled in his prime but he def had skills but compared to other ATGs he's def low on skill when it comes to oure skills but surely there are prob a few with less skill. In his comeback he had a lot more skill and used his jab very well if he used it like that in his prime he'd been even better. That thing was prob harder then most of todays heavyweights hardest punch.

When I think of the ATG list, I can't see anyone being above Foreman with less skill than the big man, if that makes sense. That's not to say he had none, because he clearly did.

Take a look at Foreman/Moorer. That KO is just a perfect 1-2 that Foreman was setting up all night long.

I lost $20 on this fight but I still think this KO is a beaut.

If you put prime foreman in there with say, Chris Arreola or David Haye, you'd think you'd never seen a better fighter.

there was nothing lucky about that win, he knocked him out after outsmarting him and owning him with his faster hands.

Probably had more skills than heavyweight greats of the early part of the last century by default. Sullivan, Jack Johnson, Jeffries, Dempsey. Skillsets of those eras probably wouldn't hold up in more modern times.

I think the OP just watched when we where kings before he started this thread .

Foreman had a terrific jab , great timing , could walk a guy down and cut off the ring and utilised archie moores patented cross arm defence to good effect.

Ali made plenty of greats look quite ordinary and there is more to foreman than the rumble in the jungle.
