nope first time i sparred was against solomon which was on mainstreet in the couture gym then when i sparred against efi it was on ogden in the counter-strike gym i live in lisle and i dont got a car so its pretty though to get to different places
http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=54162&cat=boxer I knew not to be cocky by looking at him. We became really good friends and worked out together a lot after as well as he took me under his wing for a while.
I am in a chair. Have sparred with some good ones but I wasn't that good decent at best from 2000-2006
haven't done much sparring, but the sparring I did with a pro was with Garret Simon http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=523176&cat=boxer the sparring was only like 75% but I got my first concussion...don't recall the second round..haha..white flash, then I remember being in between rounds thinking is it tuesday or thursday...Garret is a cool kid...has some potential since then I've done light sparring with a freind who fights mma to help him with striking...looking forward to more when I find a gym in Seattle soon...
so you actually fought him in a real sanction fight or did you just sparred with him? sparring sessions should be hard and challenging but not that bad where he knocks the **** out of you.. trainers werent doing their job if that happens] :hat
No but I did barge into the back of Nigel Benn outside a club in London a few years back. Even that knocked me on my arse.
I havent fought any pros as of yet but working on it haha. My dads friend Miguel Mathews fought Prince Naseem Hamed and actually beat Scott Harrisson and gave him his first loss
Boxed against a former Super heavyweight British k-1 champ in my first fight. Got KO'd but gave him a cut. I don't think there was a huge gulf physically apart from the punch resistance he's built up over the years. I had more speed though.
I boxed in the military, and there were quite a few Professional boxers in there too. Although I was at MW, I usually trained with LHW and HW boxers who were pros.
