Cotto still wants a catchweight for Margarito bout

    maybe he is hoping that if he wins he will get his rematch with paquiao at 147 so he wants to start going down a little bit

    Oscar cherrypicked pac to 147 not the other way around, you expected him to go to 154 while he was fighting at 130 in that same year?
    I think he only got favoured in the cotto fight and thats in hindsight, margarito happened at 150 cause margarito couldnt make the weight anymore, the belt means nothing, almost nobody considers pac a legit champion at 154, he is a legit 7 time champ who has been fighting from flyweight to 150.
    Imagine cotto now fighting martinez at 157, everyone would give cotto credit if he won that one, yet if he then turns out succesfull at 160 people will say he drained martinez down to 157 and therefore his belt isnt legit, same with marquez now or ortiz when he fought berto.

    He fought Pacquiao at a Catchweight on his terms and now hes doing the same to Margarito.

    Cotto is acting like a *****. Man up, have the fight at 154, and beat Marg ass. It makes to sense to have a title fight at a catchweight.

    Catch-weight or no, Margarito is still given some leeway by being able to perform above welterweight. I would prefer it didn't exist though; Cotto is the champion and he won't need such an advantage to win decisively. Of that I am sure.

    first of all the OP should at least post a link to his claims and secondly rumors are rumors and arum had said that nobody has asked for a catchweight but in case cotto does ask for one why are people crying for

    take a look at margaritos last ten fights and how much he weighted for the fights

    150, 154, 145, 147, 146, 146, 145, 147, 146, 147

    so stop acting like he's some kind of middleweight needing to come down to fight a welterweight

    he hasnt even been a jr middleweight and only did one fight at the weight

    margarito always been the bigger guy fighting smaller guys with a reach and height advantage and still cheated using plasters to win so he doenst have a right to cry now he should be happy that he's still getting a paycheck to fight
