Burns is worse IMO, but i don't blame him or billy, if he fights Fana then Broner all will be forgiven:yep

It comes to something when Audley Harrison is a better title defence than each of another 'champion's' three defences. Evensen, Laryea and Cook would be average defences if Ricky kept his commonwealth belt let alone pretended to be the world number 1.

Hopefully Broner or Fana is next because I think we all like Ricky Burns, we just don't like pretending he's setting the world alight when in reality he's doing **** all. His reign as champion makes it look like Lucian Bute is superman

I am a fan of Burns and it not his fault that his management and promoter has messed up his rating by matching him with guy who are only in it for a pay day so for me Ricky Burns is
as good as any recent world champions from scotland and england but I think Billy Nelson should stop being a prat on hear as it causing his boxers grief I NEVER IN ALL YEAR had a supposedly top pro coach slate poeple so much on a public forum as billy and also over rate his boxers yet as soon as he falls out with them they are rubbish or they never had it there fault not mine billy Nelson you need to listen the poeple on hear they buy ticket for shows so have the right to express an opinion

It's easy to type and say that Burns' is taking easy fights.

He probably is taking easy options, but Martinez wasn't one of them.

Once you win the title, the money is to be made, you don't rush in and take hard fights for the sake of it unless the money is really high.

Once Burns' makes some money, the Ring title and Fana await. The money would be better, a title to go for and a decent fight.

After about 6 defences, then it's all down to ambition.

It would be crazy to risk throwing a career away on very tough first defences.

You don't even know who I am!

Also, you've got me mixed up with someone else you thick twat. I don't hate Scottish fighters.

I also think the reason you do it is ecause you are thick as pig ****, hence why you can't spell either. I genuinely feel sorry for this forum, as by all accounts, you are nothing like this in real life.

Grow up; maybe then, people won't act like 'wankers' on the board in your presence.

I don't think many people are saying that. It's not Ricky who makes the fights, and he's performed well ever since he stepped it up post-Hamidi (and even the likes of Laryea are probably better than some of his pre-title opposition)

But the fact is, that doesn't mean you go the complete other way, hype Burns as a 'World champion' and claim Martinez was a super deadly puncher and the best in the division and that makes up for the woeful defences afterward.

I dont cause any of my fighters greif mate not at all,i will stand by them as i see on a daily basis the hard work they put in and i will stand by them forever if arseholes try and give them a hard time on forums.Yes people are entitled to there opinion and rightly so but when their so far of the mark its very annoying to both the fighter and the trainers and there respective promotional teams.all the best:good

with the fullest of respect Moe,I know a big puncher when i see one and Martinez was the hardest puncher at that weight ive personally seen, the left hook in the 7th round nearly took rickys ****ing head off lol,not just Rickys fight he delivered big shots in other fights including Nicky Cooks

Yeah, but which genuinely tough chins did he dent? Ricky showed the difference between deadly puncher and decent, he took Martinez's bombs all night (I've always said Ricky has a good chin BTW, just didn't think he was seasoned enough to win)

I dunno how Billy; I sing the praise of Scottish fighters as much as any, when I feel it is warranted. I'm as big a Simpson fan as any, honestly don't know where you've got this idea into your head. Other than the fact that I don't think every Scottish fighter is the greatest fighter on the planet and cannot lose:huh

Billy your are really deluded. Just because somebody gives critisism to one of your fighters you decide to go all braveheart and call them a scottish hater, then put little emoticons like everybody is laughing with you....we're not billy, we're not.
