What rounds did you give to froch? And when you scored the 12th did you hold off scoring until the post fight interviews?

No disrespect to Dirrel.. the guy is talented but who knows where his heart is..... his style isn't the most pleasing and he's been in situations in and out the ring where a fan would ask, does this guy even care about being the best?... Like the abraham incident or originally not fighting Ward... and now his brain injury (which I now believe as legit) but still he has to prove he's the best by getting in that ring and beating Froch, Ward, and Bute... period... and I think a lot of us on the thread are saying the same thing from what i read... Froch and Ward are about to mix it up and so are Bute and Johnson... a step in the right direction for this division.

you have articulated the "Larry Merchant philosophy" of boxing.

This philosophy dictates that boxers should eschew the art of hitting and not getting hit in favor getting themselves in brawls, testing their chins, bleeding profusely, and suffering early brain damage -- all for the sake of demonstrating a warrior mentality.

It is, of course, an idiotic view.

    EXACTLY, and well put.

The young and talented Dirrell made both Froch and mainly AA look like European circus clowns. :yep:good

Dirrell has all the physical tools to be great. He's tall, rangy, quick feet, extremely fast hands, etc. I can't say his style is very pleasing (and don't say "oh that means you don't like slick fighters, I enjoy watching numerous styles including slick fighters) he can be very slick, especially against the ropes, but a couple of fights running around the ring and throwing himself to the floor when it's totally unneccessary leaves a bad taste in a lot of fans mouths.

We'll see how he grows though, he only has 20 fights to his credit, he has the physical tools, let's see if he has the focus.

Froch was slower & technically inferior & still beat Dirrell. If Dirrell can't beat someone wide open & much slower how good can he be?

Froch was slower and less technically skilled and got a "Gift" against Dirrell.

If you believe otherwise post your scorecard.

I had Dirrell comfortably ahead in that fight. Give Dirrell credit for going to England to take that fight. Had it been in Vegas, he would have received the decision.:yep

He wouldnt have received the decision.

Froch would have been disqualified by the 9th round.
