Jack, it's the consistency police here. We're here to ask you a few questions about your ridiculously inconsistent views vis-avis Andre Dirrell (you call: coward) and David Haye (you call: heroic warrior), the latter of whom was recently seen flopping all over the ring crawling about on his hands and knees for a full third of a fight prior to in which he devoted two solid years bragging about how he would brutally knock his opponent out. We promise we just want to ask some questions. But if you resist, we may be forced to lock you up in the hypocrisy holding cell for 48 hours.
Dirrell just doesn't have it in him. He have nice skills, but that thing is missing. That thing that Judah doesn't have, that Dawson doesn't have, it is call will, hart, fire. All those guys are quitters, when thing get rough, they have to reach to something inside them that they don't have. Dirrell is one of those guys that don't have it in them. Is flashy, quick, but he is missing it, he is a quitter.
Thats exactly what Floyd did to Ricky Hatton. He'd maintain range, dive in with a right hand, then grab Hatton afterwards. He did this for the first 7 rounds, wore HAtton out then finished him off. Roy Jones made a career out of this. Roy would leap in with a left hook, or a lead right hand, and immediately get away. Amir Khan does it now, he leaps in flurries, then immediately jumps away. Yep clearly you arent a hardcore boxing fan if you cant even decipher styles. Seriously have you ever seen Leonards fights with Duran and Hager? atsch Why would a boxer/counter puncher stand and trade with a slugger like Carl Froch. Seriously dude. :rofl
When has Dawson ever quit in a fight. atsch And please tell me, why the last 3 rounds of the Froch vs Dirrell fight his best rounds? atsch
Obviously you do know your boxing describing a fight plan wereby one man threw less but landed more and kept himself out of punching range. Well done sir.
Neah, you are asking me to rewatch a **** fight. Not really that important to 'win' an argument on the internet to put myself through that dross again. Not really here to prove anything really. Take it or leave it. I am here to chat **** and give my opinion. It is an internet forum not an university class.
Except boxing is an entertainment sport and without guys who will put on entertaining fights, the sport will suffer. Why do you think HBO blacklisted Dirrell? It wasn't because he's a smooth, skillful entertaining boxer, it's because hes an ugly spoiler who absolutely nobody wants to watch. That's why I encourage him to be blacklisted from the sport and, needless to say, I will personally never pay to see him fight. Boxing is entertainment. Dirrell is not entertaining.
Believe it or not but some of us actually watch people fight. Ratings & odds mean nothing but only a real boxing fan would know that. Lacy was rated 1 or 2 & expected to KO Calzaghe does that mean he was a great boxer?
he was rated 1st or 2nd on smw after only 1 fight by some mcdonald consumer no doubt.you should realy stop eating that crap,it makes you and your womens fat and stupid...not that us citizens are faimous for their wits...just take a look at mr.president who think alaska is a country located on canada continent
I refer you o the "No Mas" fight. It's a pretty well known fight between Ray leonard and Roberto Duran. In the middle of the fight Duran says "No Mas" ("no more") because he's had enough of Leonard being all "elusive". There are some other famous fights you might get to while you're at it. But you may as well start with "No Mas".
Neah, I have said already if Dirrell start making waves again, I would not mind to see him again. Hopefully Dirrell can get a heart but really I seriously doubt it as explained before. I don't feel anything about calling a prize fighter a coward. It is a matter of fact. He stank of fear from pre fight to post fight. Just because you are a prize fighter does not automatically make you brave.
I'd rather watch Dirrell than, say, Pawel Wolak. Winging punches, all blood and guts with a preposterously swollen eye. But you're right about boxing and entertainment, to some extent. I'm sure you will avidly follow the rise of Kimbo Slice, which should be very entertaining indeed.
