do you think bellew actually believes he is ready to beat cleverley, or do you think he just after a pay day. i dont know why because all the evidence suggests an easy nights work cleverley. i think thats what it would be too but a small part of me thinks if bellew caught him he could really hurt him. and lets face it cleverley is hardly elusive. dont get me wrong though i would love bellew to get banged out proper!
I was shocked at how he was cheering after the win over McKenzie, really ****ing shocked. As if he'd just beaten Bernard Hopkins or something. So yes, I think he does believe he can beat him, and he's wrong.
he does genuinely Bellevue he will win...but he is deluding himself. clev takes him in every department.
I think they're talking about making the fight now because Tony is obviously struggling with the weight. It's worth noting that Cleverly has had two poorish performances back to back, with the close decision against the French dude and the BS stoppage last time out.... but he's proven at a higher level than Bomber and would obviously start as favourite. I was calling for Tony to chill out in the ring rather than trying to kill the opponent with every punch, but he went way too far against McKenzie in the return and stank the joint out. Cleverly is quite easy to hit mind, and his footwork is poor. The longer he sticks with his mentalist father in the corner the quicker he'll be carried out of a boxing ring. Just let Dean Powell take charge.
He does that even after beating the likes of Atoli Moore. Screaming as if he won the lottery. We see him acting like a loudmouth thug at press conferences and shouting about how good he is after his "masterclass" vs mckenzie. the guy is nothing more than a mouth imo. now fighting paul david instead of calling out cleverly. to be honest, i genuinely hope cleverly has the power to take him apart before bellew lands. nothing would make me happier than to see the embarrassment on bellews face after being dealt with by clev.
Agree Tony could be struggling at the weight and needs to take his chance with Clev now rather than in 6-12 months time.
agreed. if he had a solid chin, i think we all agree that the fight wouldnt be a contest. but like you, i reckon he will crumble once hit cleanly by bellew.
Only Tony will know how hard it is to make the weight...:yep Whoever gets the big guns off first in this fight wins...:deal :bbb :bbb :bbb
