well he could be wrong about this, but the thing is, if he says something negative about his opponent, then there are multiple reasons for that to be a lie or wrong.
When he says something negative about himself or his fighter, then we are inclined to believe it because why would he lie. Why would he say something that makes him look bad if it's not true

Pac just bought a $8 mill worth of property in a prime subdivision in Makati City, Phils. Heard he paid in cash, out of his winning from the Mosley fight.

Also Pac as a lifetime annual subsidy from San Miguel Corp - one of the biggest conglomerates in the Phils.

He may not be utilising his money as he should, but I am pretty confident he will not end up signing gloves for a living.

It's pretty odd how most of the popular boxers end up exactly this way, when you'd think with greater marketablility they'd be much better off than the gatekeepers and journeymen.

The whole industry is apparently geared to swarming the most lucrative boxers and milking them dry, regardless of how it makes the sport look to the general public and new boxing prospects. This environment can't help boxing's long-term survival.

As for Pac himself its hard for a poor kid from basically a Filipino favela to say no to all his homies even when he knows they're leeching like crazy.; it's harder than anything unless you don't have blood in blood out homies.
