i think in the morales fight he started the way he should have against Khan.
I dont think it was the right move. naturally easy for me to say after after i admittedly picked Maidana to win.

you think if he rushed Khan early like he did Morales he could have stood better chance?

i think he would of stood a better chance but you can also say that he did want to do that but khan wouldnt let him near to do what he tried to do to morales quite simply khan tried to stay on the outside and morales tried to stay on the inside

Rewatch the fight, and you'll find he did try to rush Khan early. Within the first 30 seconds, he lands two bombs on Khan's chin, and realizes the man is easier to get to than everyone made out. It was just Khan's awesome body shot, as well as his efforts to keep Maidana at bay, that made it look like he [Maidana] wasn't rushing his man like he was supposed to.

True he did rush Khan early. Khan was on his bike for most of the fight and but when he stopped Maidana got some good work in.

    Khan has fresh legs
    Morales, not so much

He is considered crude but Maidana was a quality amateur got to the quarter finals of the world amateur championships and beat Matthysse as an amateur also, which proves that he is more skilled than many give him credit for.

He's skilled in the same way that Margarito is. He's crafty, yet crude. He's got his little bag of tricks, but he's not textbook skilled.

True, he gets in there good then he holds and rabbit punches.

I think we've already seen Maidanas best. Guy has the worst footwork in boxing.

The thing with Maidana is his speed. People are still sleeping on his speed.

His speed is so underrated its criminal!!! Power is all he ever gets credit for but its his speed that makes him hang with the elite. Also his awkwardness is great as he punches from weird angles with speed and power.

Hmm someone who is going to only improve his strength. None of that I will improve your technique to make you more complete bull****. It works .0001% of the time.

**** i cant think of anyone at the moment. I will tell you this though. i was excited when i heard he was going to Beristain. A fighter with Maidanas power counter punching!?!? But then again wouldnt that be against what he normally does?? So yea I cant think of anyone at the moment.

I still dont really know why marquez blocked that, I think it would have been good for maidana as well.

I think it had to do with the fact that a Maidana fight was a big possibility at the moment and actually still is. God i want to see that fight so bad....

Obviously you wouldnt have Pac training in the same camp as PBF.
