Nah he's got a shot. It's Ken Shamrock, that dude is absolutely shot. If James can learn a halfway decent leg kick technique, he'll stop Ken in his tracks. His legs can barely take an aggresive bump from a tumbleweed.
Jesus both fighters are going to need canes on the way in. They should definitly add another minute in between rounds for these seniors.
Honestly it was a nightmare style our opponent had, south paw boxer counter puncher. we went into the dressing room and changed the game plan, basicly made him come to us, once that happend he was a different fighter all together and he got cracked by my son in the first round and didnt want to risk much since then great defense and good footwork we just happend to have the right plan to get the win honestly the fight was dead even IMO However regarding James ahh the old memories from Wildcard, anyhow just shot the breeze with him a bit he handed trophies out to some of the winners etc... he was really into the show, but honestly I was shocked when I saw him I have not seen him look like that since he was prepairing for Evander
Interesting stuff. Seems like James really sticks up for his amateurs. According to various MMA sites Toney is down to 213lbs: http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=336921
Toney in his prime at 160-168 was more explosive and would of done better at MMA, but him fighting an elite like Couture for his first fight I knew was a bad idea. Hes not a big puncher either and not a big heavyweight either. Hes actually a very small heavyweight that he was able to even hang with cruiserweights and beat them was a great feat.
Even after the embarrassing Coutoure fiasco, there is apparently still a demand to see Toney thrashed and embarrassed in MMA, once again. LOL Even Shamrock handles him with relative ease. They know get him on the ground, and he is defenseless. Shamrock will go for the takedown right off the bat, and it'll be over with in the first round, as the Coutoure fight was.
I will post it when I am good and ready its my birthday today so forget about seeing it any time soon See above Thats becuase we in this sport do not like your Jab Jab grab style of fighting, Cant stand Wlad nor Vitali they both fight like John Ruiz...
He's actually got a chance in this one. The guy he's fighting is an ancient bum with one of the worst Glass Jaws in the business AND there's a special rule that allows the ref to stand them up if the MMA guy can't tap him out within thirty seconds of hitting the mat. It took Couture more than thirty seconds to **** him up so I'm hoping Toney lands something solid and pulls a Mercer on this joke.
