is anyone still under the impression this will actually be a great fight? it will be intriguing, sure, but it will turn into one guy chasing the other more cautious guy for pretty much the whole fight. the cautious guy will do what he always does and the guy chasing will become more and more frustrated as the points clock up against him. by the end of the fight the cards will show a fairly lopsided UD for the cautious guy, the guy doing the chasing will say 'he didn't want to fight etc' and millions of fans will turn away from the sport at another massive let down. after much media backlash at how unexciting the fight was it will sink without much trace in similar fashion to the klitschko v haye fight, and the die hard boxing fans will be left to pick up the pieces and look forward to the next legit war. sounds cynical doesn't it?
I'll watch if they do fight, but it would have been a much better fight two to three years ago. ****ing boxing politics robbed the fans of a great match-up between what would have been two close-to-their-primes/peak fighters.
Pac of today doesn't get frustrated silly. The fight with Mosley proves that he's not the trigger happy guy from the feathers anymore. He tried chasing Mosley but with caution. Pac May will going to look like MPvsSSM but a little bit more competitive.
I think may is going to try walk pac down not moving away, that would make the fight very interesting.
Floyd need money more! He needs to ensure cash flow to make sure he keeps those high priced lawyers happy, content and motivated for being overwhelmed with the ever growing legal issues Floyd continues to add on.
When did the reports of Pac being broke hit? Is this old news? Links would be appreciated. I always knew he had quite an entourage but the gambling is news to me.
Hearing what happened to a fan and Floyd Sr. when they asked Floyd Jr. about fighting Pacquiao, how/what is the best way to approach $$$ about this question...what does he think. :think
The way pac was missing punches against SSM makes me think that it will be Pac that will be tasting nice lead rights to the face all night. The only intrigue with this fight for me is to see how a dynamic fighter like Pac affects Mayweathers brilliant defense and ability to capitalize on mistakes. Matchup kind of reminds me of RJJ Vs James Toney. Athleticism Vs fundamentals. And no, I am not saying it will be the same outcome or the two fighters have the same skillsets as RJJ Vs Toney. Mayweather is a better fighter than Toney AND more defensively sound. Mayweather will not be weight drained nor will he come to fight out of shape. And personally, Pac man doesn't possess nearly the level of "gifts" RJJ had....maybe RJJ used better steroids I see this fight an easy win for Mayweather. IF mayweather beats Ortiz and Pac man, any resume doubts, greatness doubts should be out the door for all and I easily put him as a debatable ATG fighter.
