He looks heavier than 149lbs to me. I guess a lot of other factors need to be taken in to consideration also, not just his outer appearance.

He's in pretty good shape, but man is he looking old. I know he only fights once a year, he is 34, and everybody got to look old sometime, but it seems to have fell on him over night. Floyd seems like he's always in shape, but just look at other guys who stay in shape all year round....Like Martinez, and BHop. BHop looks younger at Floyd at this point.

Doesn't look old to me - just "older". Looks like an incredibly conditioned athlete. And he does look filled in at the weight. He definitely climbed the weight classes intelligently.

Well because the fighter in your weightclass whom most everybody ranks over you is a guy who is proven to come into the ring at 148-149. That same guy is loved for being the smaller guy and not only beasts his opponents but beats them down or makes them fight like cowards. That same guy you have shown clear reservations on facing. So basiclly the reason would be to avoid again being again outdone by Manny.

Well, lucky for Floyd, he's in a profession where a person's face doesn't determine how well they perform their job. With that said, I don't think he even looks old. He looks like any other 34 year old I know.

So actually saying is just still growing not filling into WW. He filled into WW a while back. One or maybe two more fights and he is gong to have to go to 154 or he will start struggling.

Floyd's been hiding his fight night weights since Hatton. Way before Pac even became a potential Mayweather opponent.

Honestly, I've given up trying to guess a fighter's weight by just looking at them. The fact that Mayweather, who looks like a 155+ welter on fight night, actually walks around that weight when he's not training, tells you that appearances alone can be very deceptive. For example, in the lead up to the Donaire-Montiel fight, I was convinced Donair was the far bigger guy who would outweigh Montiel easily. But in fact, it was Montiel who was the heavier guy by 8 pounds. He was 134, whilst Donaire was 126. You wouldn't have thought that by looking at them in the ring:

Floyd wants the illusion of being the smaller guy. Hatton was moving up to fight him and he did'nt want people to know he was as big if not bigger than hatton. The same with JMM and now the same with Manny. So i guess your point of floyd hiding his weight is a good one. He really wants that illusion against hatton, jmm, and manny not JUST manny. Does'nt change the point that his "Hiding his weight"as you say is just an attempt to fool and BS boxing fans into thinking he is something he is not. Typical FMJ

Why wasn't his fight night weight against Hoya revealed?

I'm sure Alex Ariza said he likes Pacquiao to train 151-153 during training camp then bring the weight down towards the end so the speed is there.

Neither guy weighed but i would assume ODLH did'nt want to show the public that he was the bigger guy so if he won it could be scrutinized. That would be my guess. More from oscar than floyd i assume

I assumed it would be to keep people from asking him to move up to 154 and 160. Floyd is looking like a real ww nowadays anyway while pac looks like he belongs at 140.
