i believe bute is the hardest puncher of the top batch too

and its true your not gonna clobber the best guys everytime out

he has power to break you down and earn your respect but not one shot fight ending power

Right! And that's the best evidence his power's overrated. If froch had been a real puncher he would have KO more great chinned fighters

But who could do that then? abraham has very heavy hands and he couldnt pull it off either, froch has good enough power to possibly ko ward though.

He's not a soft hitter, but he's not the power machine either that he's portrayed to be by some people here. So yeah, I do think his power is overrated occasionally.

He punches as hard as Kessler if you ask me. Problem for him is he doesn't have skills and his opponents even if he lands, see th punches coming. I don't think Bute punches harder but he certainly knocks guys out with faster shots that they don't see them coming (Andrade, Miranda, Mendy)

His power isnt overrated, as he isnt thought to be a heavy puncher. He will not stop Ward, it will go the full distance.

I believe his power is overrated, that stems from the Taylor fight I believe, a lot of people make like he can just finish fights with one punch, he hasn't even gotten a knock down since Taylor let alone a KO, he just has strong punches, but you're definitely not gonna take many unanswered shots from him...

Froch hurts his opponents and can move them. He has plenty of power.

froch is a good, solid puncher but not what i'd call a "big puncher". if he hits you right, you're going to know about it.

the fighters that i consider to be bigger punchers in the division are kessler and maybe bute.

I agree. Froch is too slow & unskilled to land the KO punches on most elite fighters. Bute isn't fighting the same guys as Froch

bute does knock more guys out. but, he's not exactly fighting boxers with good chins. andrade did, but that's about it.

bute has more snap to his shots than carl does, but i'm not sure his punches carry more weight if you know what i mean.

Yeah, Froch has power but not KO power and when he fights elite fighters, he doesn't get to land flush often 'cos he is slow.

His reputation for power came from when he was rising through the ranks and KTFO of bums.

Just because "YOU" haven't heard it doesn't mean no one has stated such, before this tournament started Froch was deemed as a devastating puncher going in, I've heard more than a few claim this, one in particular is Antonio Tarver...
