Enzo Calzaghe deserves more respect

    Enzo Calzaghe is one of the most important figures in British boxing from the last 10 years. However there is a vile thread on this forum questioning his professionalism. Why have members of this forum allowed such an attack? There are many esteemed posters on here such as Jonsey and walletinspector who have allowed this thread to flourish. Even figures within British boxing have stood back and watched.

    Enzo Calzaghe is fine servant of British boxing. The work he did with Joe is recognized the world over. But let's celebrate the work he did with Enzo Macc, Pryce, Rees, Lockett and Cleverly. Enzo Calzaghe does not deserve the abuse he received in the 'Should Enzo Calzaghe be reported as a benefits cheat' thread. Why was it allowed to continue?

    White Tiger who created the thread should be banned for life. Better still, he should be taken to a secluded spot and tortured. Everyone who contributed to the thread should, out of contrition, not post on here for 6 months.

    Good post mate. I like Enzo and think he gets way too much **** on here.

    Perhaps Flint shouldn't have started joking about benefits claims but I really don't see how us posting about broken headlights and pre-fight meals harm his reputation. We can all see the job he did with Enzo, Joe C, Rees etc, harmless jokes about Maccarinelli losing games of Dominoes and drinking cans of Tizer aren't going to change that.

    Sounds like a pretty cool thread. I'm gonna' go and find it, and contribute to it. Never did like Enzo.

    Disagree - Enzo deserves some criticism for the part he played on that fateful night - 8th March 2008

    Disagree - that Rob and WalletInspector are esteemed posters

    Disagree- Rob makes world title fights and Buncey's show wouldn't be the same without Wallet.

    He deserves huge respect for what he's achieved.

    Ok, he is a bit of a nutter but he came from a music background with zero boxing knowledge to at one time training 3 world champions at one time (or was it 4?). For that alone he deserves respect.
