Look at his past opponents since the Taylor KO.
Dirrell - incredibly hard to hit unless on the floor
    Kessler - very good chin
Abraham - literally has a titanium chin
Johnson - best chin in the biz
To say his power is overrated isnt fair, hopefully his KO % will go up after the 29th Oct

I just named one person whom you would know ****boy and Antonio has said this recently, if you had any common sense you would know that his power has been overrated, the fact that this thread was even made about it kinda proves that, but you probably ride the short bus so I'll give you a pass ******..

Im a fan of Froch but I have to say his power isnt anything amazing.
Many fighters KO%s dip when they enter into world class and Froch is no exception.
I actually think Froch has a fair dig and could score more KOs, its just he seems a lazy fighter much of the time and often steps off, maybe not realising when he has his opponent hurt.
I felt the Kessler decision was fair but think Froch hurt Kessler and had him in a daze (think it was round 5), yet never stepped up.
Against Johnson it seemed that if Froch got Johnson to back up he didnt want to go after him.
Still if D Boone can put Ward down and have him holding on, im sure Froch can

No! and i dont think anyone claims he has great one punch ko power, but like others have stated he does make alot damage on his opponent in his fights if he can land clean! I think Froch and Kessler are very close when it comes to power

Won't knock him, can't see myself knocking out Glen Johnson with a 2x4, let alone gloved fists.

He's also changed his style, he's boxing more since the Taylor fight, rather than just wailing away at guys.

I'm making my own judgement, if you want to see more people who thought that just search the forum back before the tournament started, I'm not going to do your research for you, I already know the facts and what's with you adding those gay as smileys after every post....

In his auto-bio he basically says his power is simply respectable. I remember when every made Taylor out to be a KO artist and now many make him out to be a light hitter. Dirrell rocked Froch and dropped Abraham but many say he's a light hitter when really he's a spoiler.

Taylor was/isn't "shot"...lacking in confidence, disarray in his camp, yes absolutely...either way I give Froch credit for JT, but I do think his power is overstated.

The fact that you said it was just me and the ts let's me further know you're a dumb son of a *****, of course people are saying his power is just okay now because he has shown absolutely zero power in this tournament, so just stfu...

Okey, but the fights 'usually' end with a decisions which are presented on boxrec which is probably credible source of information but maybe KO ratio doesn't mean anything when it comes to punching power... :think

I always knew that guys from wild wild west have now sense of humor, especially when it comes to sexual orientation.

BTW: Haye case is very simple. U can get more info from his fellow Adam

He throws punches like an amateur. He's heavy handed, but Abraham, Bute and possibly Dirrell all hit harder then he does.

Depends on who is doing the rating to be honest...

There are multiple ESB posters who said he would KO Johnson (one in particular said Froch punched harder than Cloud). And even in a recent fantasy matchup thread on here between Froch and Hopkins many people said Froch would be the first to KO Hopkins: http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=333827

The people who say those things heavily overrate his power. To which I always try to point out that Carl Froch has only scored 1 knockdown(nevermind knockout) since he moved up to the world level and that was Jermain Taylor and some of that was from the aid of Taylor obvious and overwhelming exhaustion. He has not scored a knockdown against Pascal, Abraham, Dirrell, Johnson, or Kessler.

Having said that, he DOES punch hard, but he's not a "special" puncher or anything.
