...and have Pac promote himself when those same people say Pac speaks horrible English and has no personality and charisma to come close to being as popular as Mike Tyson?

BTW, don't Floyd fans always say Floyd along with his personality acts like a **** to promote and sell himself which he has done so successfully?

Then how could those boxing fans suggest Pac fire Arum, who is one of the best promoters of all time, and have Pac promote himself when they say he sucks at selling himself as a boxer without all the controversy and intrigue, horrible accent, and by being too nice.

Manny Pacquiao: "uuuummmm... I am here to promote my apcaming pight ummmmmmm.... go to my website MP Promotions datkom por more inpormation uuummmmmm......":patsch

    :hi:

arum doesnt deserve 27% though 10/15% is more fair.

When you buy the best, you pay a higher price. A 10% commission promoter won't get you the same returns Arum would get you. Ask someone like Paul Williams or better yet Roy Jones Jr.

Besides, this thread is about those who think Pac would be better off at promoting himself, even though they say his English is horrible and don't have Tyson or Mayweather charisma.

If he's being taken advavtage of it's probably better he promote himself. He's already a mega-star, his fights don't need much promoting these days.

with all the bs that is happening right now with pac, u got to question arum's authority. he doesnt like it one bit when someone gets involved with manny. what makes him think he is any different than a money hungry leech?

Promotions cost money as well. Arum doesn't just take big cuts from Manny's fights, but spends tons of money doing the promotional tour, buying TV ads, billboards. He has all the proper connections to make things happen at HBO with the pre-fight shows.

Does MP Promotions have the tools and experience to do what Top Rank has been doing for decades and pull the same results?

Floyd fans say Floyd promotes himself with his controversy. Not to mention Floyd has Al Haymon behind the scenes.

What can Pac do generate a successful promotion? Sing more on Jimmy Kimmel? Who knows, Pac could possibly do worse as far as numbers without Arum. It is a possibility.

What a load of rubbish. Pac sure as hell won't fire Arum, Arum got him this far and pretty much gave him his entire stable. Pac doesn't need to change anything in order to make a fight with Mayweather, if Mayweather is interested he would make it like DLH did despite his problems with Arum.

I don't know who the hell says he should promote himself, but giving Bob a quarter(if not more) of his purse plus whatever scam bob has working on usage of Top Rank assets, loans, and god knows what else is ****ing ******ed.

    Because it's pointless.

People say "fire Arum" because it saves money in the short run and because people believe Pacquiao needs no promoter and is big enough on his own, by himself to arrange and sell his fights. That is the opinion of everyone I've ever talked about it.

But you apparently don't feel the same way, so...

Between a potential PBF fight becoming more Realistic and drawing closer and all the negativity coming out of Manny's camp lately, it's driving ya'll to this kind of ****. It's getting sad and I genuinely feel sorry for you.

Exactly. The mentality here seems to be Pac already made himself and Arum millions and now it's time to fire the person who got you to where you are today. That's some loyalty for you.

Sure, Bob Arum gets a larger percentage than most promoters. People don't realize he also invests big money to promote his product and the fight. Who do they think pays for the multicity promotional tours, TV ads, newspaper ads, billboards? Do they think that's all for free? And no, Arum is not exempt from federal income taxes.
