Watched the Brawl in Montreal. Didn't bother scoring it this time though I have always had Duran up by a couple of points in the past. Things that never cease to amaze me in the fight are:

    1) Both men's chins absorb a serious amount of leather
    2) Duran seems a lot stronger than Leonard
    3) Leonard's tactics. Although he does his own excellent work inside, he has no chance of living with Duran there.

I also cannot understand how people can think that Leonard proved his superiority in the rematch. Duran was pretty much the ultimate fighter in this fight and it was the fact that his performance was significantly worse in the rematch which changed the result (and perhaps a curry beforehand:hey).

Incredible fight and it upsets me that the big fights/events recently have not come close to this kind of drama. Although that is partly because the last few big fights have included PBF:yep

Berto vs Estrada watched. Entertaining fight Berto showed fast hands and good accuracy, Estrada showed plenty of heart and a good chin until the accumulation of punches got him outta there.

    Lewis vs Holyfield II (116-112)

Same score for Lewis as in the first fight actually, but he actually didn't do as well.

De La Hoya vs Quartey (115-113)

I had Round 4 even as it was quiet. I can believe that Michael Buffer called this 'the best welterweight fight since Leonard-Hearns'. Jeez, how borng is the welterweight division if De La Hoya vs Quartey gets called that?

It was an intriguing fight, but quite quiet. I noticed that De La Hoya blocked a lot of Quartey's jabs. Early rounds to DLH, middle rounds to Quartey and the last few to De La Hoya. He showed heart in the last round but completely punched himself out.

Most DLH fights I found pretty dull, perhaps because of the amount of hype that each one generated..... much like Floyd I guess.

The most entertaining DLH fights I've watched have mainly been ones in which the opponent was generally an entertaining fighter, like Mosley and Vargas. The Mayweather and Trinidad fights could cure insomnia.

Trying to think of the best welterweight fight since Leonard/Hearns.....

    Margarito/Cotto
    Mosley/DLH 1
    Cotto/Mosley

just off the top of my head.

De La Hoya vs Mosley I was a decent fight. I haven't watched the others in full. I haven't watched the Vargas one yet either. But I mean, surely there was one great welterweight fight in the 18 years between the two fights?

I actually thought that De La Hoya vs Mayweather was a decent fight as well.

Watched Welcome Ncita vs Kennedy Mckinney. It was ian excellent fight, one in which I think Mckinney needed the spectacular knockout he scored in order to win. Ncita scored with some great hooks and right hands throughout the fight, and had pulled ahead on my card by the 11th round and I thought he had it in the bag after he hurt mckinney badly and knocked him down that round. but Mckiiney turned it around only seconds later and scored a great one punch ko. Great fight, it was unusual to see a world title fight in Sardinia aswell:D

The only way that Whitaker could have won that night was by KO.

Today I was watching some footage of fast-rising Japanese super flyweight prospect Yohei Tobe, and after searching on Youtube I was fortunate to find both his pro fights so far.

Tobe vs. Jin-Ki Jung (7-10-1) - Going into the fight, Jung was the Korean champion at the weight and was ranked in the top 10 by the OPBF:

Tobe vs. Wandee Singwancha (66-14-1) - Wandee is a former Interim WBC light flyweight champion:

Tobe, who after two fights is ranked #12 by the JBC and #11 by the OPBF, is going to be facing Kohei Kono next! In the last 3 years, Kono has challenged for a 'world' title twice, firstly losing a split decision to the always exciting Nobuo Nashiro in '08 and then a clear decision to Tomas Rojas last year, despite flooring the champion in the last round. Kono is also a former OPBF and Japanese champion and, despite losing his last fight to the current Japanese champion, is a big step-up for Tobe.

Abit of a random one but Ronnie Heffron-Barrie Jones.

Decent little scrap this. Heffron with some good bodyshots but gets caught alot with stupid shots. Typical come forward fighter with whinging punches. Heffron will be in some exciting fights in the future but wont go beyonf British title level I feel. On another note im disapointed how Barrie Jones career seems to have panned out. I remember he was ****in robbed against M'Baye and now seems content with being a journeyman/gatekeeper fighter. Would like to see him a get a few wins as he has lost his last few fights and hopefully get back in contention for some sort of title.
