Did I miss something:huh?? I keep hearing about this Cotto fight in New York but from what I remembered texas was the only one that gave Margarito gave a license. Can someone enlighten me?
yup. I think when he reapplied in California, they "tabled" his application if I recall correctly because they felt he didn't really feel bad about what he did. HOWEVER, his suspension was still up. So he could still reapply wherever. The problem was Nevada was going to respect and go along with Cali commission's decision. That didn't apply to any other state athletic commissions, so really any of them could have given him a license. So he's not suspended where all states would have to abide and I guess New York will probably give him a license now. All caught up?
Top Rank has money, the commission wants money, Bob arum is paying the NY commission money. Funny thing is... When that one guy was caught using the same thing Margaritio was using and it was against a top rank fighter, so u know what happen to that guy who got caught cheating? he was BANNED from boxing. Bob Arum makes **** happen, if Maragtio was a Golden boy fighter and he did that **** against a top rank fighter... Well maragtio would be banned from boxing.
Well **** I never heard any of this on any boxing websites. I wonder if Arum made this deal without Margarito having a license and is hoping New York says okay. Most likely they will because thats alot of money, but I wont be surprised the fight gets cancelled

it was an issue during the Pac-Marg lead up. The major hurdle was his licensing issue but all that was hashed out and the fight wound up in Texas. So you haven't heard anything about it lately because it's technically old news what with him being allowed to apply pretty much anywhere. If he wanted to ask California or Nevada again he technically can, he's able to get a license in any state that will grant him one. NY will probably do it since they need the revenue from a big Cotto fight again, especially if Top Rank is willing to put the figh there considering the taxes NY has.
I dont think he meant that you ass. Margarito got caught trying to cheat and he could have killed Mosley with those damn wraps.
