If you strongly believe that Margarito cheated, that is fine, but to say that you know that he cheated is pure sour grapes. And you are wrong, although I no longer support him, I do get pissed off when people claim they know that he cheated, when there is no proof whatsoever that he used those knucklepads in previous fights. As a matter of fact, Cintron's old trainer is on ESB. He actually was with Cintron for the 1st Margarito fight. I asked him if he observed any discrepancies with Margarito's wraps. He stated that there was always the possiblity that he (Margarito) did, but that he saw Margarito's bare hand get wrapped and did not notice anything out of the ordinary. Now, I'm not saying that is 100% proof that Margarito never cheated, but it at least it came from a trainer who is actually in the sport and who witnessed Margarito's hand get wrapped.

I have stated many times that as a former Margarito fan, I am angry that he was even caught up in something like that. He embarrassed his fans, disgraced the sport, and shamed the country he calls home (Mexico). I do believe, and this is purely my opinion, that if the CSAC or DA had enough evidence that it was plaster of paris, that he would have gone to jail and permanently banned from the sport.

Furthermore, for you to talk **** is hypocrisy at its best. You seem to have forgotten that your beloved Trinidad was also accused of something similar. There were rumors and whispers around the boxing world of Trinidad dipping his hands in water to have castlike wraps or using an excessive amount of tape. IF he actually did those things, he ruined the careers of Reid, Vargas, and Joppy. He had incredible punching power in those fights, and it all but virtually disappeared when Hopkins and his team made them re-wrap his hands. This also brings me to my next point. Trinidad went low on Vargas twice. To call out Mares is pure bull**** on your part because even your beloved Cotto has used that tactic numerous times to escape defeat or at the very least used it to change the momentum of the fight.

So if you feel strongly that Margarito cheated that is your right and you are entitled to it. However, if you go around claiming that you know he cheated without a doubt I will be there to shove the aforementioned statements down your hypocritical throat."

You keep running with that song when there is no shred of evidence that a catchweight has been requested, especially when both the fighter's promoter stated otherwise.I could care less about that ****en belt, because if it was about the belt there are 10 wba contenders and 3 other champions willing to unify.This fight's only purpose is capitalizing on 2008's biggest draw.These guys are going to step into the ring weather you like it or not and there is nothing you or any ESB member can do about it. People just want to see Cotto/Margarito come to a conclusion and thats all there is to it!


PS JR Middleweight starts @ 148 with the MAXIMUM weight limit being 154.
