Ortiz buying into his own hype: " I'm as fast as Floyd"

He is... Floyd is not a super fast puncher like PAC, he just had great timing. But Ortiz has fast hands definitely.

Ortiz isn't as fast as Floyd. The hand speed will be noticeable when they fight.

 

After I rewatched the Ortiz vs Cambell fight I just don't see how Ortiz can beat Floyd, Vic is just a strong hard punching bully and we all know what happens when a bully can't bully someone, they fold....if Ortiz can't overpower his opponent he gets frustrated and confused, this won't end well for Vic in my opinion...

Margie is a bully, but he didn't fold when Pac broke his face. Ortiz seems to fight very similarly to Margie.

Victor has said that in the past I don't think he really believes that either. Berto throws hayemakers and compared to Floyd's potshots Berto's not that far behind he's pretty explosive, but Floyd's a different breed that's more about precision and won't let you fight your fight. Speed is just one factor that makes Floyd a difficult task and Victor needs to look at the Judah fights how a faster fighter in Judah did give Floyd fits, but even still couldn't come out victorious. Floyd will box you one second and then land a check left hook or straight lead out of nowhere stunning you or possibly dropping you. He can be beaten, but not sure if Ortiz is the one to do it.
