man, that anne wolfe would make an incredible film. makes the fighter and rocky look like charlie and the choc factory. kids in an emergancy room sleeping and she sees boxing??? thats amazing.

would have to get someone hot to play her though- like jada pinkett or halle berry.

Jesus ****ing Christ, what a stupid ****ing reason to garner negative attention against someone. "OH LOOK HE'S PUNCHING A GUY WITH FULL FORCE IN SPARRING AND GIVING IT HIS ALL, WHAT AN *******", all he's doing is showing some serious ****ing ferocity and at the end of the video they shake hands or hug or whatever anyway.

Just blows my mind the **** people complain about. Boxers are only meant to go 50% in sparring or something?

It's not a fight, it's sparring. The goal isn't to try and decapitate your partner.

I see where you're coming from but Kirkland is doing more than just giving it his all. There was a bit where he caught Vera flush with two cheapshots, which was a total punk move. And in one section, Kirkland tries to land a huge Haymaker, while Vera seems out-on-his-feet against the ropes, but fotunately misses. However the momentum of the punch takes Kirkland with it and he lands on the floor like a total rank amateur.

There is a difference between hard sparring and just being a psycho. Kirkland is a psycho **** and I'm glad he has a glass jaw.

The aim of sparring is too work on the things that you're bad at, fair enough you hit full power punches etc..But sparring is supposed to be respectful, if a guy is just about out on his feet then you give him a little time to recover, if he wants to touch gloves, touch gloves..What's the problem with that?

There's being aggressive in sparring and there's being a ****. This is the latter

Was that Brian Vera he was sparring? He's a decent a fighter to get totally dominated like that in sparring, specially with headgear on.

Sparring is work, its not a fight.

You spar to practice a maneuver, a punch, a technique, defense...something.

The only time you go into sparring at 100% is preparing for a for a fight, and you might go 100% against a guy who is faster, stronger or has similarities to your upcoming opponent.

Putting a pro against a novice at 100% intensity is dangerous and since nobody is learning anything, its shitty coaching.

From watching the clip of the HW, you hear Ann say "You said you could do 8 rounds" or something like that to the beat up guys. When she breaks them up she smiles at James and walks away from the guy whose busted up. He's obviously not someone she's concerned about. I'm guessing the guy was a paid sparring partner.

    Exactly.

    Those condoning this have either
    A) Never sparred or
    B) Had a real shitty trainer who didn't give a **** about their boxer gaining experience and improvement and just wanted to see a tear up.

You NEVER throw 10+ clean powerful unanswered punches in sparring, ****ing ridiculous.
