    You will be facing Ruslan Chagaev. What do you think of him?
    AP: “He is a great boxer and very experienced. He has won almost all of his fights and has already been world champion. And he is a fair sportsman. That is something I like. I have a lot of respect for him.”

    Q: In today´s boxing world, it´s rather uncommon that somebody speaks nicely of his opponent…
    AP: “No, not at all. I think that´s the way it should be.

    During the kick-off press conference, the journalists applauded when your co-manager Vlad Hrunov spoke about the mutual respect you and Chagaev shared for each other. What do you think about that?
    AP: “I think that´s normal. After all, we are role models for a lot of young people. The sporting aspects should always be more important than business aspects.”

    Q: But you will not exchange niceties when you meet in the ring?
    AP: “No, of course we won´t. When we are in the ring, all that matters is the victory. We are both very keen to win.”

    Maybe him and Chagaev can get a room together after the fight. Dont he want a phat pay check. Hype the fight. Know what I am sayin?

    Finally some decent guys who can react like normal human beïngs before a fight. I've had just about enough from loudmouths who try to hide their fear by running their mouth and fail to deliver coming fight night.

    Boxing is starting to look like the WWF lately. Glad these guys can act normal.

    Still Pov has to earn some respect back after blatantly ducking Wlad, but at least there's nothing wrong with his attitude otherwise.

    Lets hope they put up a good fight as to not tarnish David Hayes legacy as being WBA HW Champion. That was David Hayes belt that they are fighting for. Hopefully they can represent the title well.

    David did a decent enough job himself to tarnish his legacy, Pov and Chag don't need to bother...
    And let's not forget there aren't many who take this fight seriously as beïng for the world title, the WBA sucks carrots.

    Povetkin ducked Klitschko twice.

    Acctually David Haye was legitamitely injured when he pulled out of fighting Wlad and Vitali.

    Ali was a loudmouth, Jack Johnson was a loud mouth,John L Sullivan was a loud mouth! They knew how to get people interested.

    All this,hes a great guy,Ive great respect for him etc etc,puts me to sleep.

    You dont have to insult your opponent,but at least act confident! Say you're going to be champ and that your coming for the Klitschkos! SOMETHING!

    Ali delivered, Johnson delivered, John L Sullivan licked a couple of men in a bar and after that he delivered.
    It's not about the big mouth, it's about what you do in the ring.

    Why do you think Pac is so popular? Because he runs his mouth??? No he delivers! :deal

    It puts people off if you shout all your way into the ring, pull a Kevin Johnson, and then start bigmouthing again after the fact.

    Lately almost all bigmouths turned out to be losers, and the nice quiet types the stars... think about it.
