    That's not sparring. It's not even boxing. The point of sparring is not really to fight at full intensity, its to learn something and mentally prepare and improve your skills. It would even help if you're in there with someone that has a strength that plays on your weakness. Kirkland looks like some strong kid off the street that happens to know how to fight. If he's in there with a real beast and he missed like that and fell over, that would be a short night for him. Add to the fact that Wolfe seems pleased with him even though he makes these amatuer mistakes that if put in with someone like Martinez or even Williams, will get him beat up bad. She should be concerned about his safety.

    Looked bad to me espesh were the guys leaning on the ropes after Kirkland gets up from his fall...holds out his glove and takes a full on combo...thats just plain nasty. That said...Tyson was known on many occasions to brutalize many of his sparring partners.

    It is mostly just false bravado. Kirkland is a joke. Nobody is going to give him ANY respect in the ring they are going to come right out and try and crack that Glass Jaw. As soon as they allow him to fight anyone of half way decent skill he is getting brutally and embarrassingly KOed again.

    Kirkland was an HBO/Golden Boy hype job. He is a farce.

    great well done, you now know you can beat people up.

    how has this helped him at all. its like a guy benching 100kilo's once while another guy is doing reps of 20kgs.

    just pointless. thats what a heavy bag is for. its not helping anybody, even vera. eh, i sort of blame wolfe. because she isnt teaching her fighters to be disciplined and outbox but literally pound their way through other guys. no wonder he got stopped by ishida because he had this idea that he will just land the punch to end it after he was kd again and again and again. it's just dumb.

    I've never seen him box before, and after that, I don't want to.

    He looks like a bully with a 'street fight' mentality.

    You have obviously never sparred. Sparring in a learning process.

    If you land 15 shots on a badly stunned guy nobody learns. All the guy getting hit gets is a drain in confidence and the guy throwing may as well be hitting a heavybag.

    In addition to the outright futility of this Kirkland shows himself to be a true ***** by cheapshotting thr first guy with a one two. He didnt bother touching gloves etc with the fat overmatched guy either.
