LOL, the interviewer is totally baiting him with the questions he's asking. Hell, even the tone of the questions are total whine-bait.

Why is this a surprise? All fighters do this. It's about MONEY! Him and his people want that big payday by fighting a big name! He's the ****ing Middleweight champ! Why is he calling out 2 Welters? He needs to clean out his division and take his place in History.

I agree with a lot of this post, but you lost me on this one. Martinez is a blown up Welter/Jr. Middle. Dude looked like a ****ing dwarf next to Pavlic who's a legit SMW. He has no business moving up.

I agree with this 100%. Also, Martinez should be calling out Bute, Froch, or Ward for example. But, I understand why he calls out the little guys, it is about money. Floyd and Manny are the biggest money makers in the sport and everyone wants a piece. At the same time, if he wants the bad boy image, calling out smaller guys isn't the way to go.

Finally...Sergio..you fighting ****ing Darren Barker! Really? Should you stop talking and focus on training for this BIG fight?

Martinez weighs in at 168 fight night, the SMW limit. Pac weighed 149 fight night for a JMW fight. Pac is a much smaller jmw than Martinez is a smw...yet we expect pac to move up but sergio too small for 168. Infact, you could argue that pac is a smaller WW than Sergio would be a smw.

Go pull up the video from when he was on WWE Monday night raw, and where the Big Show, and Floyd weigh in. This was before his fight with Marquez, and he weighed close to 160. And before you say the scale was rigged or something Big Show weighed on the same scale and weighed around 450....Seems pretty correct to me for a guy they used to bill as weighing 500+.
I used to say Martinez had to much skill and add the size...Pac and Mayweather would be smart to not fight him, BUT if he's honestly willing to come to 150 (not 156, 154, etc) I see no reason they can't. Floyd has fought DLH who's suppose to be an ATG or something (I don't really think so but whatever), and Pac has fought Margarito at 150, and Margarito outweighed him 17 pds on fight night....For them to not fight Martinez at 150 is a bit of a duck IMO.

What a class guy. Mayweather and Pacquiao are taking on no-hopers like Ortiz and Marquez, while Martinez is taking on proven world beaters like Barker and continues to chase great fighters like Manfredo and Chavez Jr in his division. Sexy Sergio will be #1 in no time with those guys on his resume.

You're aware Martinez had to move up and fight Pavlik right? He's a 154 fighter by trade b
