    Lose-lose situation for Pac.

If he manages to get the W.
He will be discredited for "draining" his opponent.

    Or

He will get the beating of his life.

I have the feeling that you're trying to steer Pac off Floyd and eliminate another threat to Floyd.

Pac has already said that he won't fight above 150.

    Floyd said:

....that is unless Floyd didn't really mean those.

Beating Margarito at a catch-weight is one thing. Beating the number two pound for pound is another. He would get credit no matter what. As long as Sergio doesn't start heaving like a wounded caribou in the 3rd round, he'd get a lot of credit.

See this is an example of a gross miscalculation on your end. You assumed I'm a fanboy douche like you, but to the contrary which is why in my first post in this thread I referred to both (PAC + PBF) having fought and won in that weight class. Neither are excused and Sergio is a legit 154 fighter no reason either guy couldn't fight Sergio at 154 other than they need their ***** holes sewed up. As for Manny PBF dawg, it's become clear what the deal is, you're just too committed to your silly position to recognize the truth. Manny has said over and over and over he doesn't care about the fight and his actions reflect that...PBF has repeatedly said he does want the fight and his actions support that. Manny's gonna have to take the fight eventually he literally can't afford not to.

Lol...whatever man, I'm saying they all have fought and won in the 154 weight class, no reason they can't now...

Dude, where did I mention Pac in my post? I only said it would be a bad idea for Sergio to move up to 168 to look for fights. Just because Martinez rehydrates to the SMW limit doesn't mean that he's same size as the guys in that division, many of whom walk around at about 200 pounds in between fights.

But since you brought up Pac, I'll bite. If he was willing to fight Margarito at a catchweight, I don't see why the prospect of fighting Martinez is so far fetched. Victor Ortiz, who was a career Jr. Welter, came into his last fight as a SMW by your standard when the bell sounded. Is he too big for Pac too?

They don't have to though, is the point. You can't accuse either man of avoiding a guy who fights two weight classes above their own. This talk about Pacquiao or Mayweather wanting nothing to do with Martinez or being afraid of him is nonsense. I get that he wants a big fight, that's understandable, and Pac and Mayweather represent the biggest money he can make, but it's not required of them to move up in even more weight to challenge him, and if talking about those two won't get him a big fight with either one, maybe he should force his way to a big fight by challenging all of the top guys at 168.

Martinez claiming that Pacquiao and Mayweather are avoiding him would be like Hopkins saying he's being ducked by Martinez. It's bull****.

I agree they don't have to, but they can...if they were so inclined they physically can and have in the past is all I'm saying. By saying they can, but won't, then yeah basically they are avoiding Martinez. They have done it before and had success, so what's different outside of this ain't Tony and it ain't Oscar.

You're damn wrong! It's Sergio's offer not Pac's offer to fight against each other at 154. If Pac accepts that challenge and once again he can beat a bigger guy like Sergio who currently ranks No.2 in the P4P list then I don't see why the hell he can't get the credit for doing so.:?:?:?
