He has repeatedly said that, and his actions support that. He didn't ***** about any of Manny's demands he accepted them all, he willingly went to arbitration/mediation to try and get the fight made, he has been 100% clear and direct about his position and it's literally never changed. Outside of the cut off concessions that he attempted to make during the first negotiations that MANNY walked from, he isn't willing to do now, but again that was made public directly and clearly from Floyd after the SSM fight.

You always talk about the urge and vacations as the only real position you have, the man had fought back to back HOFers and earned the right to do what he wanted, he choose to spend time with his family, he's entitled. He gave Manny every opportunity to get his ass whooped and dude punked out over drug tests and went to fight Clottey. In terms of the urge stuff he never said I don't have the urge to fight Manny, he said he didn't have the urge to box period. I for one don't typically have an urge to work either when I'm on vacation, but again man it becomes more clear everyday, time will prove me right I'm not really worried about it.

Say what you say but Sergio is a true boxer and he delivers. He does need a better promoter because boxing is a dog eat dog world and having the right connections gets you paid. I can see more people liking him if his fights were better exposed and I can see him drawing major PPV with the right people promoting him.

Not sure how true it might be but he has mentioned that he is preparing for retirement. So that could be the reason he is not moving up in weight.

Ideally, I'd like to see Sergio take his fellow countrymen, such as Maidana or Matthysse, under his wing and polish them to be better fighters. They are already talented and could be good business if he needs $$$$.

The reason why Martinez don't want to go up is because as soon as he does, people will point how high in weight he has fought at hence he still picking on WW's.

Martinez has ever right to ask for a match at 154. Both pac and floyd have won championships at that weight.

Dude, he has every right to ask for a match at 154, but at the same time, Manny and Floyd have every right to decline. There's a reason why they [Manny and Floyd] immediately gave up those belts and moved back down to their preferred weight. They're not 154 fighters, nor are they claiming to be.

Sergio has to realize his own hypocrisy here. He's not willing to do himself, what he's asking them to do (face super middleweights).

Pac and Floyd has no business fighting Martinez. Martinez just wants a big pay day.

I've explained the reasons why martinez is unwilling to go up in weight. And i actually think it is a valid reason, if he can't secure fights with either pac or floyd he will eventually go up again.

Pac and floyd can decline but like it or not it's a duck.

The Williams fight he had before that, was staged at middleweight. Martinez is a healthy, 160 pounder now. Just like Pacquiao and Mayweather are healthy, 147 pounders. What he's asking them to do, is the equivelant of him facing one of the super middleweights. He has not done that yet, nor is he willing to do it.
