Agbeko, Funeka, and Bogere might be future African greats, but no doubt Agbeko is just getting started and he's made me a fan. Future African great.

 

Take another look at their resumes. Toweel was true bantamweight champ of the world for a number of years, beat several great fighters, and hinself convincingly beat a hall of famer in Manny Ortiz. Mitchell retired as an undefeated champ facing mostly the top competition of his era, although I'll agree he didn't have the same top level opponents as the other two. Kalambay is a very underrated fighter, had a lot of great wins and arguably should be a hall of famer as well, but I think I have the others just a little ahead.

On a second look though, I'm probably overrating Quartey and would probably drop him down to 6th and put Kalambay at 5th.

 

Why don't you actually watch that fight before shooting off at the mouth and making a fool of yourself?

Kalule looked as good as he had in many years. Not to mention Kalambay was just the type of fighter he usually excelled against. Either way, most I've talked to (and I myself) scored the fight to Kalambay narrowly.

 

I personally would rate John Mugabi ahead of B Mitchell and F Botha.

Azuma Nelson is a lock for me at #1.

 

Who were these "several great fighters" Toweel beat? He didn't face great opposition at all, either. The best men he beat were washed up versions of Jackie Paterson and Manuel Ortiz. When he actually took on a top notch fighter in his prime he got blasted out in one round.

 

I have watched it thank you. Yeah it was close. A great win for a past prime Kalule.
