Is Froch starting to get inside Ward's head just a little bit ?

At yesterday's press conference in London and even more so at today's in New York, Froch put a lot of emphasis on Ward's perceived lack of punching power and he doesn't think Ward will take his punch if he catches him clean. Ward is a very strong fighter mentally and is so focused but even he seemed to take issue with a lot of what Froch was saying. Its purely gamesmanship fom Froch, he said in an interview in ringtv.com recently that he was purposely gonna crank up the mind games as the build up goes on. Ward says its all professional but i think he has a clear dislike of Froch and Carl wants him to i think. I think he wants Ward to come out and try and make a statement and essentially go to war with him for the best part, if Ward does that i think he ends up getting hurt badly. Clever stuff from Carl though i still think Ward is gonna be as disciplined as he needs to be on the night.

Even if it does manage to get to Ward, I can't see him engaging Froch any more than he previously planned, he won't try and trade with Froch or really deviate from his original gameplan, Ward's too smart for that.

    He'll just foul more :deal

Froch has to try everything he can because Ward's so far not shown any real weaknesses. So he needs to try to gain any advantage he can but he musn't allow himself to get caught up worrying over mindgames. He has to focus on the action in the ring and i'm sure he will.

The way it's being played up and the way boxing works, look to Ward pulling out the stoppage ;-)

I'm not sure Froch needs to get in his head. usually fighters try to get in an opponents head to make them come forward, something Ward will do. Ok not saying he stays right in front of Carl for 36 minutes, but he will certainly come to fight more than Dirrell did.

Frochy is neglecting to call S.O.G and is calling him 'Son of a *****' instead

I think your gonna see Ward move in, plant his feet and try and rip Froch to the body but he won't just wade in looking for a tear up. Thats probably his best bet of systematically breaking Froch down because he hates it to the body and can be hurt there as Kessler showed. Seen a lot of guys though when they try and get punches off against Froch up close, they pull straight out and he catches them because of his long reach. But yeah Ward is probably to clever, he'll punch and hold and just try and frustrate the bollocks outta Froch.

Ward knows what Froch is doing. He won't take it personally and he also won't let it get under his skin. I believe this is a fight that will be won solely in the ring. Mind games will not play a part.

Andre knows all the ticks in the book but so does Froch if he thinks he can try and frustrate by tying him up throwing more fouls then Froch is more than capable of fighting fire with fire i do expect some points to be deducted in this fight.

But won't be a letdown if that happens. If Ward puts on a clinic as he does against a fighter of Froch's capabilities, it will be encouraging to see.

    Saying that WAR FROCH!!!:deal:deal:deal
