Will Haye call it a day or will he retire in his PRIME a loser?

I think they always planned a smash and grab on the division - he was a cruiser weight with a punchers chance, he moved up at a time when Wlad looked on unsteady legs for much of his fights. He chanced his arm, and had a pop, got some big paydays, even got a title and then finally a shot at Wlad where he swung and missed. After that he then took the cheque and stayed out of the way.

Has he still not said anything about his plans??? Maybe he's going to wait to see what happens between Vitali and Adamek. I imagine if Adamek pulls it off Haye will be interested again

 

I can imagine Haye being announced as Vitali's opponent after he beats Adamek, but if not, he's done.

Meh, hope he retires. Everything about him and his career was smoke and mirrors. He did nothing positive for the sport. Retire on his pile of cash and we never hear from him again. That's what would be the best thing to happen imo.

 

That is pretty much my thoughts as well. He has conned a lot of people into thinking he was the real deal, which clearly he was not.

 

Haye talked it up and played the pantomime villain. Haye's antics delivered the big payday for all concerned. Haye trained hard and at least made Wlad work for his money. Haye deserves his slice. If you don't like that then you don't like the business of modern pro boxing.

 

I don't think the smoke and mirrors thing is entirely fair. He definitely has that about him, but I think the main component of his spirit is that of a chancer, he bluffs boasts and talks but still at heart- a risk taker. Don't get me wrong he definitely weighs his odds, he's not a mad man warrior, but he's got balls.
He is still in with a chance with most of the guys around - Vitali is the obvious choice.
Personally I think this possibility will bug away at him and he will come back - and when he does I will be supporting him:good Didn't like the arrogance but now he's back to being the underdog, which makes me like him again :nut

 

Honestly if he comes back i'd like it to be against an Areolla or someone like that, somebody who will make it an entertaining fight, because Haye hasn't been in an entertaining fight since Mormeck imo, every other fight has either been one sided or haye has made it boring by running all night and having pathetic punch output

 

tbh i think he'd handle arreola or eddie chambers or any other contender atm, him or solis are the only ones i see capable of beating klitschkos atm, saying this arreola seems a bit more determined nowadays so he is impressing me, but i think atm haye or solis, in a couple of years we'll see where helenius, fury, price, perez etc are in comparison

 

Hope he retires. He won't fight Vitaly and doesn't deserve another shot at Wlad. He would probably be beat by most top 15 contenders, so jsut hang em up.
