the cotto win alone is better than any of floyd's win at welter.

Eh... I'd say Mayweathers victory is equal to Mosleys. At best his victory over Cotto is slightly better.

The Clottey victory was good but Mayweathers win over Hatton was better. (Hatton actually had 10+WW fights, not 1)

And the DLH victory was just not that good. The honest fact was DLH weighed less than Pac in the ring and was a walking punching bag.

You will want to say how is that Pac's fault? It's not, but he still doesn't deserve to get the credit when it was a meaningless win. Just like sprinters dont get the world record when they were wind added. (Not making a reference to PEDs).

The Judah victory easily trumps this

That leaves Marquez, Baldomir and Mitchell. Which only add up and help Mayweather.

And this is nothing against Pac. He only has 3 fights at WW.

floyd's mosley win was good at first but taking unto account what mosley looked like in that fight (looked like a spent force just after 2 rounds) and his next two fights confirms it. this is just the same case when you are retroactively rating oscar for pac's fight. in fact, before the fight, oscar was considered a very big challenge for the lightweight pacquiao who moved-up 2 full divisions. if you are crediting floyd as much as pac's cotto win, then pac's mosley win should not be that far-off since it was only a year after the floyd fight and both floyd and pacquiao had dominated mosley.

hatton at 147 isn't a much better win than clottey since clottey has been more proven at welter.

there is actually an argument that the margarito fight is a welter fight on pac's side since he weighed only 144 for the lt. middleweight fight. but even if you won't count this, i would rank pac's cotto, oscar, clottey and mosley win over floyd's judah, baldomir, hatton, jmm and mosley win.

If floyd beats ortiz then that WW win will be a bigger scalp than pac win against clottey. This will make floyd resume at WW ahead or at least level with pac's WW resume.

uhm, maybe it would be on par but it still depends if ortiz will accomplish anything at welter after being beaten by floyd. the berto win, although a great performance is not yet a good indicator of what ortiz can do at the weight. if ortiz continued to dominate welter, floyd's win over him would look good and rise in value. but if ortiz suddenly struggles at the weight, then we can see floyd's win over him just like his win over judah.

Or the fact that Mosley threw more punches vs Floyd than he did vs Forrest....

You yourself even claimed that he should be "taking these fights more often"

    You even said this

    :patsch

There you go, you are giving Pac credit for something he didn't do. He didn't beat a the DLH everyone was expecting him to face. He beat a walking punching bag. It'd be like if Pac was set to fight Roy Jones from the Ruiz fight, and throughout training camp and promotions that Roy Jones shows up. Then when it comes to fight night, he actually fights Roy Jones from the amateurs. I guess because the build up was that he was going to face the Jones from Ruiz we should still give him credit. Doesn't work like that.

No, Mosley was coming off a win, albeit a layoff.

What coming off a loss to the guy he just beat the **** out of?

No, that's not how this works. You can't use this fight as resume for WW and then later on say he is a 154lb champion. And even you did. The Margarito fight is just slightly better than the DLH fight. It was absolutely worthless, you know it, and I know it.

I can't even take you serious. You are taking everything away from Mayweather on that Mosley fight because you know actually how great of a win it was.

Here you go calling Mosley elite still.

Mosley was elite according to you, but because Mayweather dominated him, he's no longer elite.

    This pretty much.

  10. Floyd was loud but still respectful throughout this conversation. I like that.

They called him out, tried to expose him but he kept his cool. I like that.

Floyd does it "his way" and is succesful as ****. I like that a lot.

did you not hear the part when floyd said something along the lines of "i don't do all my ass-whipping in the ring". that sounds like a threat to me. how is that respectful

floyd lost his temper and was made to look like a idiot on the radio. He should have been more professional. At that point it was good someone told him this, besides not fighting pacman he has fought mosley which was a decent win and ortiz is a decent opponent as well so thats pretty good imo.

the only knock on him with the Mosely fight is that it took an earthquake in Haiti to put that together.
after JMM Shane called him out in the ring in front of everyone and we were all thinking it was on. but it just became another timespan of disappointment when he wasn't actively trying to get that fight signed, so Shane moved on to booking the Berto fight.

props to him for finally taking the fight but lets not forget how it all went down.
