Cotto V Khan at 147 who would win?

Thats true mate Cotto did really well the first 5 rounds or so. But there styles are completly different. For the first 3 rounds Manny was on the back foot constantly and aloud cotto to close the ring and trap him in the corner and he aloud Cotto to fight up close. Khan wouldn't.

 

I'd honestly put money on Khan to win this, i'd also pick khan at 140 against cotto when he fought at 140

 

Cotto Round 8 stoppage...1 minute 28 seconds in to the round. Left hook to the body stoppage. Khan writhing in agony on the floor, shows great heart in trying to get up, but fails to make the count.

 

I always laugh when people predict the round and type it out as if it's actually a result.

Just pick the outcome, fella.

That is the outcome I predicted (there have been about 20 of these threads in the last couple months...I chose to put an original answer, rather than the usual 'Cotto victory' :good).

 

Khan seems to fancy the body shots lately so a late stoppage against cotto by body shot could well be the case. The last 3 fights the way Khan works the body is getting better real fast!!

 

Cotto would beat him from pillar to post.

 

Cotto would be drained at 147, Khan will love 147.

Cotto will have trouble dealing with Khan's speed and Khan will have more pop in his shots at 147 in my view.

Khan would try and keep this at range and move around the ring well, Khan is faster and bigger than Manny, Cotto will be in for a shock.

 

Because, like Ortiz, Khan is seen as another 'young, hungry, lion' rofl), and a victory over a 'young, hungry, lion lol is always better than a victory over a solid, proven, world class fighter. Despite being the inferior fighter.

Styles makes fights. I think Khan with his speed and boxing ability has a better chance against Mayweather than this version of Cotto.

 

I think Cotto would have problems with Khans speed in the early rounds, I also think from round 3t on he will hav his timing set and wuld start picking Amir apart as he lunges in...from round 9 or so I think Miguel would start landing @ will.

Khan made me a believer in his skill against Zab BUT imo Cotto is a whole other level for him right now
