that's not even close to what I said. I said that he would be at a disadvantage if he went down to 135 to fight Marquez and then fought Floyd at 147 in his next fight. He'd have to completely change his training regiment twice in a row. It's not about wanting an advantage, it's about not wanting to shoot yourself in the foot.

he can make 135 if he needed to, it's not actually hard to believe it but he has to drain for it and pac and his team feels comfortable weighing around 144/145 during weigh-ins.

for your question as to why this fight is taking place at 144, it's because pacquiao is the draw. if jmm was the bigger draw, he can actually dictate pac to come down to 135 for a big money fight and i think pac will agree to it and can actually make it but not without draining like he used to do at 130.

OK that is at least slightly logical.

Doesn't Pacquiao think his fans deserve to see competitive fights?

The weight is four pounds below Margarito's current fighting weight and three pounds above Pacquiao' current fighting weight of 147. Pacquiao will be going for his eight divisional title.

Mike Koncz, Pacquiao’s adviser, told the paper he is still in the United States working out the terms. Pacquiao has yet to approve the fight. Koncz will meet with Pacquiao in a few days to review the proposal for the Margarito fight.

You have been exposed for lying yet again.:rofl

Pac had already planned the catchweight knowing full well the vacant JMW title would be on the line. It had nothing to do with helping margo it was all about hindering margo.:hi:

    why is manny the underdog??

    A- beacuse floyd is bigger?
B- beacuse floyd is better boxer?
C- because pacquiao don't know how to cut the ring?
D- beacuse pacquiao don't know what a "goob jab" means?
    E- beacuse floyd defensive skills‏ ?
F- beacuse floyd is better faster smarter than marquez?

Koncz: "I was one that postponed this fight, or suggested to manny that we hold off on this fight for awhile

because there's the old saying that styles make fights, but then also styles break fights. My opinion, for some reason

    Marquez has manny figured out"

he looked terrible coming back to 140 but still dominated lazcano wide. he actually blasted malignaggi out and he was the #1 ranked LWW at the time eevn higher than bradley.

he is the #1 ranked welter but not the ring champ. and not many people are picking mosley to win. don't be fooled by the title of the PPV event coz floyd was a very big favorite to win over mosley. actually if you look closely, mosley was tired already after the 2nd round which is the same round that he dominated. it's quite unusual for a top fighter, unless he is shot already, to gas after a round which he dominated.

as i pointed out, it's hard to actually fight set of opponents (high caliber and named opponents) with no recent loss, draw or hasn't struggled.

PAc is making the fight difficult to happen against floyd. If mosley and ortiz was able to agreed with floyd's no cutoff osdt without if and but's... Pac and his team are making bunch of bull**** excuses.

when pac was not the draw before, he would actually climb to the division of his opponents like barrera, morales and delahoya. when pacquiao is the draw now, do you think he still has to go to his opponents weight? so by your logic, pac should fluctuate in weight and fight jmm at 135, fight martinez at 160 and fight floyd at 147?

the only reason is because floyd is naturally bigger and you could add the styles but the main reason is size. it's amazing that even with floyd being bigger and has the styles advantage, pacquiao is not seen as much bigger underdog.

again, what does your question had to do about who ranks in the p4p higher?

Or fight top Welters at 147. Even top light welters at 144/147.
